I don't get why most people think he's mean. He's a great teacher who's honest enough to point out something we did wrong. He probably knows more than most of the teachers in the school.

I was in his class for 2 years now and I saw him talking about politics and morals in band class more than actually practicing the instruments. He is really easy teacher, he just gives everybody As.

Farmer makes you want to absolutely quit music. Although he has good intentions and attempts to make the class fun with jokes, he doesn't do a good job of teaching music... which is his job

Mr. Farmer is pretty intimidating to most people. But, he is incredibly funny and although he gets incredibly mad sometimes for no clear reason, i still enjoy his class.

We basically talk the entire class. Not a lot of music is made... we have to practice it on our own. And he nevered bothered learning my name. :(

he gets nervous everytime there's a concert and starts taking it out on us. most of the time, he usually talks about something random or sits in his office (when he should be teaching us something) but it wastes time so w/e. the sad thing is, he bother to learn anyone's names after 4 years with him...its really rude

i like when he talks, makes fun of people, tells stories and jokes, and wastes the whole period just talking. i'd rather hear him talk than play

been in his class for 4 years. he is totally fine once you get used to him. he has certain pet peeves (tardiness, forgetting music/instruments, "soloing"). repeats himself sometimes... er, often.

He's not that bad. He's actually pretty cool. All you need to do is shut up and pay attention. But people have a hard time doing that so that's why he gets mad and scary. He's funny and it's fun listening to him tell stories of what happened in his youth. Easy to get an A as long as you practice and bring your instrument and music.

He is the most boring teacher ever but since its like a free period u get to like it...you just sit around class for like the first hour of class and then he comes and talks for the rest of the period

Very boring. Loves to waste your time by going into nutrition, or lunch, or after school. Says the same stories over and over again. He doesn't pick favorites, but kids he hates. Dont waste your time

Sarcastic. Apathetic. Should fail some band people to establish authority but doesn't. Pretty much dependent on students to run the instrumental music program for him. Gives the same grade to the people that are in his room at lunch, after school, etc... as the people that ditch class and do nothing.

easy A but he talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks, wait, I'm not done, and talks and talks and talks.... for entire block periods on end. and often times you'll ask him about something, and he'll be like "remind me during class" and even if you do he'll be like "oh I don't have time for that now, remind me tomorrow..." and he tells some pretty bad jokes.
