My child had this teacher 2 years in a row. 60% of the grade are tests. 20% is the final. Leaves nothing for a teacher that's nearing retirement (tells the kids this in class often) to actually do. The times I interacted with the teacher, she was not interested. So start strong every semester, and like clockwork watch the grade drop like a rock at the end of every semester. 6 test grades, and a final are not enough content to determine a grade.
Look shes a very good teacher however sometimes she gets annoyed with students who don't do there work. Shes very caring. That's is only my opinion but if you do your work you will be fine. I mean it is high school after all this isn't middle school anymore.
She legitimately made me suicidal. I got my first ever B+ in her class because she wouldn't round me from an 89.48, yet she rounded one of her favorites from an 87 to an A-. She can't teach, obviously plays favorites, makes ridiculously difficult tests sometimes, and marks you down on the stupidest things. For those who have her a 2nd time in a row, I will pray for you.
I had her as a freshman, taking Honors Integrated Math I/II. Prior to this class, I genuinely loved math, as it was one of my strengths, but immediately I saw my grade decrease so much that at one point I almost failed THE FIRST SEMESTER. She was funny at times because of her sarcasm, but her teaching ability was horrible. I felt like I wasn't learning and I basically had to teach myself the lessons because she did not explain them clearly. Shoutout to whoever has her for the second time lol
Ive read Mrs B moves quickly, is mean & plays favorites. She teaches honors, if its too quick, a prep class might be better. If you find her to be mean, ask yourself what you could do better, its a two-way street. If you think she plays favorites, connect with her & show her youre dedicated. My child was struggling & Mrs. B extended herself in every way to help her succeed. Easy classes arent a gift & wont prepare you for the world. Mrs B is a great teacher, I wish half at EHS were as dedicated.
Do not like to nit picky and tries to make math "Fun"
MRS. BOYKINS IS A TERRIBLE TEACHER, she never gives you cjances to ask for help or to improve your grade. Everyone is failing her class because of the horrible test. Test are 65% of your grade, and she is very picky about evry detail which is unnessacery since I complety get the lesson.
She is a wonderful teacher. If you care you will be fine. She is a sweetheart. She goes a little fast but her homework is easy and she gives time in class to work on it. Integrated Math 1/2 H
Worst Teacher at this school, had her for Honor's Geometry, strict, i had 7-8 missing assignments, she still cant clear my missing work, finals, it's hard. Me and my friend doesn't liker at ALL!! If i were you, get out of her class.
She's strict and can't teach math well! I didn't understand anything and I had to ask my parets for help every night. My friends agree with me.
She wouldn't slow down. If you're absent, she doesn't help you at all.
She is EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! "ALL" students dislike her teaching.
She's tough, but she a good teacher if your serious about her class. She is also very fast paced, but as long as you know what she's talking about she explains things well.
she knows what shes doin but can kinda rush through things sometimes and can get really mad really easily try to stay on her good side cuz shell always give u bad looks and yell at u a lot if ur not
She's a good teacher but she's really picky about showing work on the review sheets
She is a great teacher. Goes out of her way to make sure you are up to date on everything. Probably will fall asleep in the class if geometry is not your thing
She is a total sweetheart and her class is a cake class. Minimal amount of work is required for a good grade.
