I heard a lot of scary things going into his class but it's all nonsense. I had a good understanding of algebra so the class was a joke. If you aren't as comfortable that's fine, just make sure you look over the powerpoints to understand the steps of word problems. I won't lie, I failed 2 quizzes and my friends failed a lot more but if you show some effort he'll give a generous curve. This comes in amazingly on the tri tests and the final, all of which everyone did great on. Just do your work.
Most impossible teacher I have ever had. Will not budge on test dates. We had 3 classes to cover material for a test once. He uses powerpoints a lot. Which really don't cut it for physics. Course is algebra based as well. Don't take AP physics. JUST DONT DO IT. Physics in college is calc based. Youre wasting your time with this class. And if youre determined to take it anyway... retake physics 1 in college. Even if you get a 5. What he teaches will leave you dazed in physics 2.
I have one word for him horrible. He is unclear and does not know how to teach. Picks on kids that are failing, but they are failing because he sucks as a teacher. I would recommend not taking his class.
Had him a long time ago. I credit him with destroying my love of science. By all appearances, a cold and uncaring teacher. Seems to care only for the students who immediately "get it" - those to whom it doesn't come naturally, he doesn't seem to care at all about. He taught me everything I ever needed to know about how NOT to be a teacher.
mr whilly was a great teacher partly because he favored me. Always there to help but you need to work. Awesome teacher!
Good guy, great teacher, because of him I became a shuttle astronaut. One of the toughest classes I took, but he forces you act on your feet, which is critical in real world.
great guy but wont let you slide...had him junior year. you really have to keep up with your work or you will fail..oh yeah GO TO EXTRA HELP
