The best and easiest English teacher ever.
he doesnt do ANYTHING. i havent learned anything this year. we've read books, sure, but i havent learned anything useful. another big issue is that he doesnt know anyones name. its already almost the end of the school year and i think he only knows about 5 kids' names. still an easy grade so i am not complaining.
Great guy. Had him for English and he clearly knows a lot about English lit, poetry, and drama. Overall boring class. You go through the same procedure every day (do now, discuss, talk more about do now, group work, share group work). Repeats the same stories. Very old fashioned guy. Tests are pretty easy if you read the book and spark or cliffnoted the quotes. Some questions are pretty specific. Participating isnt necessary since he gives everyone the same grade on it. Regardless, easy 95+
he's really nice and funny but he doesn't grade much which kind of sucks because your grade will stay the same until like 2 minutes before the marking period ends, also pretty much gives everyone an 88 on their tests
He's actually pretty chill. His class is a dub. You do the do now, the share, then do group work, and then you leave. But his quizzes are annoying because he puts a very specific question and people keep getting 80s. He's really nice as long as you're nice to him. He actually has pretty interesting stories in class and he can rap. Yeah he raps in class about Westside Story. Just say good morning to him and just be nice, he's not bad.
His class can be very boring sometimes. As I remember, he often gave the class a Do Now to work on for 5-15 minutes, then went over that "do now" for 10 minutes, choosing volunteers to share their responses. Then, he would go on to lecture for the rest of the class, or talk more about the do now. He has a lot of quotes and stories that he repeats a lot, but his classes are pretty interesting if you don't care about his monotone voice. His tests are really specific on the readings.
He is not a bad teacher in comparison to some. But repeats certain quotes over and over. The group work is sometimes very boring.
Great teacher, amazingly entertaining with all his references and allusions to music, literature, and theatre. Not a hard class if you'll stay awake and actually study the notes he hands out. Nice, hilarious, kind old man,
He is an easy teacher and funny but his system is a bit weird thought but hes awsome. He doesnt penalize you for everything, but you have to be fair and serious with him to get a good grade.
Mr. Brown RAPS!! he raps on the last day of summer school in our class!! and it was really REALLY good!! anyways an awesome teacher whos really helpful!!
Mr . Brown is a lovely man, joke it up with him tons and he'll love you. The work is super super easy, and then the tests will be randomly really hard which is frustrating. Great guy, terrible class.
reallly cares about his students! drama class was amazing! and he really tries to help you out. SO FUNNY TOO!
best teacher! dedicated and actually cares about students. drama class was great!!!
He is the funniest guy ever. take his drama class, you will not regret it!
as a homeroom teacher hes strict, but in the beginning it was mad fun to compel him to debate and rap
Very kind and he will hear you out if there's a problem. Great guy!
He was my instructor during the shsat test he was a pretty good person he said we might master the test and he really wants us in this class for drama and english hope i see u again Mr.Robert Brown
He quotes books ALOT during class. He also gets off topic almost all the time. Its a pretty easy class. Participation is a MUST. He doesnt really remember you unless you participate.
he is a very interactive teacher and will grade much on class participation, so talk a lot and make intelligent commments. it is very hard to get a very good grade in his class (high 90s) but is also hard to get a bad grade in his class (80s)
He picks favorties to have a conversation with during class. Most of your grade is from his tests since he doesn't remember anyone who doesn't speak 50 times per class. Pretty boring per sé.
He refers to a stale House quote too much - it's so stale I've forgotten what it is... A word to the wise: it's simply impossible to cut his class without hearing something about it.
He quotes tv shows (house/csi) way too much. He is repetative, but an easy grader. He/his class is boring and he has many small pet peeves, but he isn't a bad teacher, just a little picky.
i dont like him that much. kind of annoying sometimes
one of the best english teachers i ever had, he really gets into the books
he's cool as an advisor for SING, but im not in his class
his class is pretty good. some of his tests are hard but the classwork and homework are pretty easy
He's a very good teacher and seems to like the subject. Like other ppl said, though, he should loosen up a bit, such as when he thinks saying "bless you" disrupts the class.
Difficult grading system. The discussions are often boring.
he's okay. hes not mean or anything but hes always asking us the questions. i dunno if what my classmates are saying is the correct answer or not.
very clear, strict teacher... if you're one of those that are motivated in learning, you'll find a easy way out.. but if your not good luck =]
He's really particular you really have to read the text and not the sparknotes. You have to raise your hand once in a while... but not a bad teacher to have.
Mr. Brown is the illest. Take his class! Villians wuz ill. Do the reading and you'll get a good grade. Great 4 senior year.
its alright i mean hes easy about makin things up but hes uptight and says interesting tooo much but i like him
mr. brown is really uptight about cell phones, using the bathrooms, and girls applying lip gloss in class. he is very intelligent but just needs to lighten up.
Pretty boring discussions. He reminds me of a substitute. Not a very interactive or helpful class. Learned nothing.
Taking over drama this semester - doesnt really do anything but is very nice as a person.
Only had him as a substitute teacher, but he's really funny, and if I had him in for a real class, I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it.
he seems almost like a sub, and he doesn't seem to have much authority over his students.
overall an ok teacher, a little on the boring side though. he really likes to act out the scenes...
he's an easy teacher, but incredibly incompetant. most of the learning comes from the literature guides and the insights of other students. he focused more about the acting than the actual content. likes to recite frequently till i wanna throw something
Mr. Brown is kinda funny in class, with all of his emotions when he talks about a subject, its entertaining. He's pretty fair too.
Teaches with a passion, with is both good and bad. Getting through lessions completely is tough, a bit slow at times. Forgets what homework he assigns 50% of the time. Tests are fairly easy.
