I had the privilege of taking Mr. Levi's AP U.S. History class many years ago and his course was the most challenging academic experiences I've had. AP students develop superfluous language to mask a lack of commitment to create concrete ideas. Levi destroys b.s. with logical interrogation and this will make you uncomfortable, but perseverance goes a long way. Survive, and you WILL pass the AP test and gain logical certainty going forward. He's a big reason why I'm a teacher today. Big ups Levi!
K so ever since I was a freshman all I'd ever heard about mr. Levi was that he was the toughest us history teacher on campus and that well he sucked. got him jr year & tried to switch asap. He's a nice guy. Pretty funny. But is he a good teacher? Hell no. He's extremely confusing! I ask so many questions and it still doesn't make any sense!! And it takes you a long time to get used to the amount of work he assigns. Dude needs to seriously reevaluate his way of teaching. Do not recommend at all.
To be very honest, if you do the work in the class and ask questions you will pass the class. The more you work with him and ask him stuff, it shows him you are dedicated and you want to learn. He is a difficult teacher but he's a great person.
Robert Levi, my god where do I start. By far hardest teacher I've had at upland high school. Work is gruesome, everyday it's a new 2 hour assignment to do that night on top of other class work. Do not recommend this guy luckily I passed with a C.
Robert levi has to be one of the most unprofessional professors at upland high school. Being one of the most ignorant professors, his attitude towards teaching is terrible. Coming from a source of my choice, he has personally bullied a various amount of scholars. Aside the way he treats people, many scholars fail to understand his lectures. Through out the class Levi decides to sit down on his desk and just waste time. If Robert does decide to teach, you will gain zero knowledge of the concept.
Mr. levi Doesn't know how to be clear in what he teaches. And i tried to go in after school and at lunch to figure out the class, but nothing was working. So I contacted him and the office and my parents for a month, to change teachers so i can understand the subject and pass the class. But!!!! Mr. Levi is Trying his hardest to keep me and his students down. His teaching style and the struggle to find a real history class is impossible!! he is a 1 out of 100
Honestly.. he is a really great person a lot of people miss lead him for giving a lot of work .. I've learn so much in the class not only on the subject but in other important thing. Be glad you get him as a teacher because, he will make you learn something actually . Don't cry about just learn ..
People who say this class is difficult are correct, this is only because you really have to know the topics and material. You can't make things up and you must know what you're talking about. My graded started at a C because it took a while to understand his teaching method but currently have an A- he may be the most difficult History teacher in the school, but if you understand history then you'll do just fine.
His way of teaching is ridicoulous, graphing history and NEVER explaining. i went to him so many times asking for help and he finally gave up on me and told me, if you dont get it, then i guess this is not teh class you should be taking, they have remedial studies. every single one of the students in his class were failing, even the honors students.
AP U.S. History is probably one of the most difficult courses at Upland High School. With this course, he teaches you to think for yourself and how to answer a prompt when given, instead of talking about other things. I learned a lot from his class, and actually - he taught me new ways to write an intro paragraph. I learned more about writing from him than I did in English. He actually mentions how English you have to get all "emotional" ... he is right.
Mr. Levi, is probably one of the best teachers at Upland High School, He teaches his AP Students as if there were at the graduate level. Seriously... I am in college now and none of my classes have be
Honestly, Levi was a very hard teacher and I almost hated him while taking the class... BUT! I actually LEARNED my stuff ya know? The way he makes you think critically makes you remember what you have
Tough class, really like college level, no test just essays, he's a cool teacher. makes you think alot, very confusing, u need to ask for help and if u ask questions
I gotta vent. He has no idea when to keep his thoughts to himself. He plays total favorites. He normally teaaches Honors so that's how he teaches all his classes. I never learned one thing!
his class is very hardd, but he is a really good teacher. i actually learned something in history when i was in his class. great teacher, very funny, and he made class interesting.
This teacher is difficult, not going to lie, but he is a good teacher. Oh yea and i like things like fair changes.
i took his class over summer and was considered a CP class, but he made it an excellerated honors class. i don't recommend taking it over summer, but he is a REALLY good teacher.
I suffered throught his class but managed to pass with a decent grade. The thing I like about him is that he makes you think and remember stuff. And most of all, he's so funny. I loved my nickname.
he's hard. And he has nick names for everyone. Some of them arent very nice.
i had him for cp us and dude ive never been challenged as hard as in his class, unlike every history class ive been in, i actualy learned something through persepectives in his class, got an A both semesters, and had fun!
I had him for AP U.S. several years back and strangely enough, I became a better writer in his class than in any of my English classes. I still remember that turkey day assignment. Good teacher
Levi's work load is strenuous, but the class itself i have thouroughly enjoyed. If you aren't up for a challenge then this isn't the class for you. He's honestly challeged me to a point i didn't know i could acheive.
His work is exhausting but I passed the AP exam with a 5 due to his daily rigorous FRQ assignments. He expects you to learn the information and figure things out on your own, but he will teach you to ANSWER THE PROMPT!
Despite his high demands, Levi is the one of the FEW teachers who opens up new perspectives. Class is almost never dull.
dude, mr. levi is one of those teachers that has a subtle way of getting into your head, but once u understand his madness, its all gravy baby!
If i were to meet him as a person i'd like him, but as a teacher i'm not too fond of him. good luck in the class if you dont conform to his will
Levi is a awsome teacher, but it took me months to finally realize how to do all the work and notes and stuff. By the way, "It, like, things, fair, change" Haha
Very nice peron. Is opinionated. He doen't like it if you disagree with him, but it will teach you things for the real world. His classwork is confusing.
APUSH is awesome even though it's one of the toughest UHS has to offer...seriously, if you can make it through this GDI's course you can make it through anythin
A good man/teacher, but very confusing and difficult.
even though he is REALLY hard. i KNOW he is one of the best teachers upland high has. he knows his stuff and when this is all over...i will be so much smarter
Mention Mario and Lugui, ( his friend teacher Mr. Glenn) and your in. Tell him the rock said that. You will get a good grade for sure.
even tho its hard, he's probly one of the coolest indians ur gonna meet, mixed with one of the coolest historians also
very very hard but cool has alot of confusing stuff he makes up like fp's lm's drm's and other stuff
I don't know if he even likes teaching. Seems like a biased teacher, your quality of work depends on HIS definition of quality . Pfhaha.. good luck to those who take him on.
