Mr.Morgan is a wonderful teacher and band instructor. I didn't prefer his band class as an elective. I thought the scale tests were challenging and unnecessary. In music, you should be assessed on work ethic, and passion to learn, not playing perfect pitches, and having clear tone quality. These concepts are important, but you should not be tested on them, you should be given an A for progress, and dedication. Mr.Morgan is a great band director.

Its sad to hear the nagativity against such an honorable, most respected man in the field that he is in. Yes, no lie he is very strict and can be harsh many times in the comments he makes, but it is only to make those individuals wake up and better themselves when they have the potential to be great. The man is incredibly knowledgeable and amazingyou at what he does and those who don't understand him and say he ruined your life is only because you weren't disciplined enough to admit your flaws!

Lucky for the band "Uncle Bob", after destroying its reputation for so many years...the man will be retiring soon. His ego, and the need to control everyone and everything around him, ruined many a high school band member. If you were not part of his klick..you were nothing. If you wanted better than what he wanted..you were demeaned by him, and he made sure the rest of the band knew how he felt..and influenced them to treat you accordingly. He ruined many a senior year for those unlucky ones..

Mention the words Saul Kaye, and watch him cringe. Unlike Kaye, Uncle Bob never was good enough, nor personable enough, to put together a top flight WORLD CLASS band, too bad..

Mr Morgan has been the best teacher I have EVER had. He's taught me so many life lessons (as he always says "music is the last thing you'll learn in band" and he's so right!) and has just been an awesome person. Don't be stupid and you wont have a problem with him. He's an amazing guy and makes for an awesome experience at clifton high pde DM'05
