Math has never been my best subject, but with Mr Pieratti, it was. Sure he can be monotonous or boring, but if you are looking for great grades junior year, it won't matter. He's very clear and easy to understand and even when you can't understand, he gives a manageable amount of homework that he then goes over. There has never been a situation where I didn't understand a concept after finishing the homework assignment. He's also not out to stress you out, as many tech teachers are.

He definitely knows his stuff and is super smart. However, he has been teaching for almost 30 years and his motivation for it is very clearly feigning. On top of that he has a very monotone voice while teaching. If you want to do well in this class you will need to be motivated and pay attention or you will fall behind and he will not care. If you do well on the tests, he'll give you a 95 or 100 in participation even if u never participate which some people may appreciate.

I have to say he is a pretty good teacher. Having never taken pre calc before, I was able to able to do really well on his first two tests. He is super clear with concepts and does almost every problem with us. Sometimes his lessons can get really long esp with the double period. But if you just try to stay awake and listen you will get it.

He teaches very well and always tries to help the students. Dry sense of humor somewhat entertains the class through his lessons. He can get very angry sometimes, but usually he's alright. The tests are very difficult but they really prepare you. Make sure you study and do all the reading.

Class was very boring but he tries to teach. Do the homeworks and pay attention in class and you will do well on his tests/quizzes. Study more yourself if you want a 5 on the AP tho.

Pieratti is a pretty good math teacher, although sometimes he does take entire periods to discuss irrelevant things (mostly things that pertain to failing students). He is very clear, but you need to do the homework (even though he doesn't check it) in order to grasp the concept. I don't think he's boring at all; he is very witty and hilarious, but the majority of students don't get his jokes. He gives a lot of make-up tests too, which is annoying because it holds passing students back.

Pretty good teacher who explains the calculus concepts really well. Not too much hw (usually 10-15 problems a night) and tests aren't too hard. If you pay attention in class then you should be able to get a good grade.

In my four years of Tech, he was the only math teacher that I liked. He was clear and to the point and didn't spend the entire class on useless principles like other teachers. He made hard subjects seem really easy. If you get a chance to be taught by Pieratti, take it.
