Took Honors US History with him. Olsen gets a bad rep from his AP classes, but his honors class is survivable. He is a good lecturer and keeps the material interesting, but you need remember to keep t
Overall, he was a funny guy (very sarcastic), but is only here cause he's XC coach. very lazy, there's nothing in his gradebook. doesn't prepare you AT ALL for the AP exam so prepare youself...
good (engaging, at least) lecturer. terrible teacher. like really, really terrible. like retire, for the sake of future generations.
Olsen is probably the laziest teacher I've had in my HS Career so far. Favors Runners (15x XC Champ LOLWTFBBQ?) Should learn how to teach instead of reading paper. Expect to fail or barely pass tests.
intentionally hard b/c he takes pride in people failing, plagarizes random college tests. Favoritist no preparation for Ap exam. Hillarious person although bitter, a democrat, a smoker, and eats pb&j
Olsen is a very grandfather-y figure. I've grown to really like him. APUSH, on the other hand, sucks. Don't even bother wasting your time on the test, just accept that you're about to fail.
Olsen is one of the best teachers when it comes to his US classes. I've had both AP US and APW and while he is the best in teaching US, AP US APW is a another story. Get him ONLY for AP US.
Olsen does have really great lechtures. Unfortunately, that's all he has. There's no reinforcement of our knowledge, so when we get the tests... well, it's no wonder one-third the class always fails.
Olsen is an awesome teacher who has engaging lectures. he knows what he's talking about. he has an unique personality that i like.
Mr.Olsen is a good teacher for A.P us history, I have class early in the morning and the way he depicts things are rather funny. Definitly makes things easy to remember, Tests occasionally have random hard stuff not i nthe books.
Olsen is the MAN!!! Awesome lectures..knows what he is talking about..and really engages the class!...Awesome person in general
He knows a lot about real history and about history that he made up on his own. Interesting lecture and funny person. His tests are hard, random, and very difficult to prepare for.
Plays favorites (likes runners). I was one of the best runners on the team, broke the school record, and he still gave me straight D's all year and messed up my GPA. but he's cool
Hands down, the best teacher I had in high school. The only teacher who cared if I could think rather than parrot.
LOVE his lectures, makes up stories but he's convincing about it. Tests are impossible, don't waste your time studying.
VERY nice picture in the school paper. I love his little mini made up stories. He knows how to keep his students interested. Cool old guy...
i really enjoyed his stories that he made up. his picture in the paper is also pretty scary
Olsen's a really smart, really well-read guy. If you're smart enough, you won't just learn from him, but he'll also make you laugh.
Plays favourites intensly and unfairly but not a bad guy. He makes up a lot of his stories but at least they are interesting.
Really smart and interesting...my favorite class except on test days
Best lecturer ever. Might be making up information, but you'll believe it because you'll be fascinated. Keep him on his toes to show that you're listening.
His lectures kept me attentive and his tests were quite *ahem*...interesting. A little weird and stubborn at times but in the end he is a good teacher.
I remember before the AP test last year, the masses of APE students were talking loudly in the halls, and he stopped all the talk with a wave of his arms.
actually thought-provoking. one teacher who actually makes class interesting
just great at everything he does, coaching and teaching.
olsen rocks! he is a great coach, teacher, and human being.
His class is really hard, but i learned so much from him. He is a wonderful person and takes great photographs
A difficult teacher and very opinionated, but probably teaches two of the most rewarding classes I've ever taken.
Great lectures - really interesting; however, is not at all consistent with information given to different classes; favors XC runners
