I was in Mr. Piro's freshman English class back in 1979 at St. Rita HS. In part, thanks to that class early on in my HS years, I realized that I was an excellent student if I applied myself.
Applying yourself was a must in his class if you wanted to get a good grade. Coasting was not going to do it. So, I studied hard and did so for the rest of my HS years. This led me to graduating with a high GPA and getting accepted into Stanford University. Now, life is good.
So, thanks Mr. Piro.
Some may say he's a tough grader but he really just knows how to see through BS. If you put in effort in his class you will get a good grade and have a great time. He's an awesome guy and I had him for Freshman English, Junior Seminar, and AP Language.
He can definitely be intimidating and makes you feel stupid when you ask a question. His A classes are fairly difficult, with only a handful of A's per class. Very smart, quirky. Good teacher but hard
Mr Piro is cool. Hes a great cross country coach, even tho i am the farthest away from being good at running. Does a good job intimidating his classes the first few weeks.
Mr. Piro is a great english teacher. he is a little scary in the first few weeks, but once you learn to enjoy his kinda strange sense of humor, his class is one of the best you will ever have
One of the best english teachers. Knows what he's talking about and how to teach an english class.
I have had him twice now as a teacher, and even with the difficulty, he is great. As the girl's CC coach, he relates well to our class that includes 6 runners.Mile time-4:03, wow.
Piros got an awsome class he very straight forward and knows what hes doing. He has a fun class and he teaches you alot
You have to get used to his style: blunt, outright sarcasm. But once you stop getting offended and start laughing too you start loving his class.
MR. RONNIE!! Piro is sweet. you're smart if you're in his class, but he's smarter.
MR. PIRO ROCKS! Sure, he's intimidating in the first few days, but he knows what he's doing! I had him last year for Frosh English and I loved his class - great teacher.
a very very good teacher. a little scary the first few days... but very clear very helpful and just a great teacher. freshman english adv rules
Very, Very Smart. Very well spoken. Though often times very scary when it comes to his speaches in front of the class. Often very grave.
he has passion for what he does and makes students have passion for what he teaches. He is the coolest teacher at wn. he sincerly cares about students
Mr. Piro is probably the most honest and straight up teacher I've ever had, if you follow directions you'll do well and that's the truth.
Such a great teacher. Do yourself a favor and GET IN HIS CLASS! You will learn SO much! And take his Film class senior year... that's his baby.
Mr Piro's class was the best if have ever taken. It was vary challenging but broken up and organized so well i succeeded. He is by far my favorite teacher ever!
He's extremely intimidating as an english teacher when you're a freshman- and it's a hard class. But, he does know what he's talking about.
Hard teacher, pushes you to the limit, conspiracy theorist.. but we still love him :)
Master P!! Ronnie is an amazing teacher. a very fun man, but a bit difficult when it comes to remembering details. Master P rules!
As a running coach, he rules. He pushes you and brings out the best. GO CROSS COUNTRY!!!
Mr. Piro is a great teacher, and he knows almost everything. Sometimes he's a little scary, but that's just Piro. Overall very very good.
he's kinda mean sometimes. pretty cool though. big on participation and not using passive voice
