Okay, so Mr. M is super lax about everything. He never makes us do the warm-ups like my current teacher. He's also really great if you need to learn the actual mechanics of a sport. He only really gets mad at people who goof of or don't really participate.
UGGGH, I would say worst gym teacher ever, but I've had Ms. Lynch. He doesn't teach, and he gets mad at you if you do something wrong.
He definitely favored me because of soccer, but he's great. Love ya Roni !
He's really great! He can tell if you have difficulty and adjusts for it. I couldn't swin at all, not even float or blow bubbles, and he made sure that I didn't have to do things that would possibly kill me, and let me wear a floatation device you've just gotta try hard!
He's really good as a PE teacher. You really need to try hard to get on his good side, but just participating will get you a good grade, and enjoy PE. If you don't put in effort, he's tough. He's also tough to people who have trouble with the activities
I had him for swimming and somewhat for volleyball. Although the volleyball ppl don't like him that much, he's WAY better during swimming. I wouldn't mind having him again in the future.
Oh, and he's finally admitted that volleyball's a sport! ;)
Ehh. His written tests are horrible; prepare to study! Yes, that's right, studying for GYM! Picks favorites from the athletes (people on the sports teams) and only calls on them/asks them to demonstrate. Okay teacher.
Before this year, I didn't really like Mr. Mistriel since he made us run so often in previous years. But I currently have him for inline skating and he's really nice to beginners. You will actually do well as long as you try and don't just stand off to the side and watch other people play.
Roni was a really great teacher. He found the right balance between teaching and having fun in the water. He was strict for the learning aspects of the course, but he would also gives us breaks and socialize with us. Overall i thought he was a really great teacher and I feel confident in my abilities as a life guard. Knowing that he would trust me with his life gives me confidence and i know he would not have passed me unless he truely believed i could save him if he was drowning.
he's very nice and clear about what he wants, and he explains really slowly so he's easy to understand.
I like Mr. Mistriel, except for the fact that people say that I'm one of his favorites. He doesn't compliment everybody. Other than that, he's a pretty cool guy. He let us run the mile a bunch of times and let us pick our best time.
Doesn't call on you unless you're one of the best athletes in the class. Written tests are stupid, he NEVER covered this materal, EVER. When 19 of your students fail a test, clearly it's YOUR fault. Dislikes the students who didn't make the reservoir run in time. I don't like him.
A good gym teacher overall. Nice and can joke often, doesn't really have any bad traits to him.
He's a rather nice man and once you get to know him, it's kinda easy to tease the heck out of him. I've had some pretty hilarious classes with him since he can joke right back at you. He doesn't like slackers who obviously aren't putting in the effort but that's basically the only way you can get on his bad side. He's pretty easygoing in general.
He does grade on effort. Our entire class basically ucked at gym. We tried though and he gave most people A's. He's really nice and if you have concerns on grading he'll talk.
SUCKS. I've only had him a few times as a sub, but he insulted the whole class's intelligence for things that a few people did wrong, and is generally mean. Running will help but there's TOO MUCH.
we only ran two times this year [YES] since it always rained...pretty good teacher. in good shape, a bit of a show off, pretty funny
stop complaining about running, because all he wants is for you to get in shape. if youre in shape, you'll love his classes. If you're lazy, you wont. BEST TEACHER EVER.
He makes you run a lot on cold days. It's okay because it keeps you in shape but it get sort of annoying after awhile. He's a good teacher but will take one letter grade down if you are unprepared :l
The P.E. is definitely helping me get into better shape because we have to run so much. Mr.Mistriel, I guess, is average. He's veryeasygoing- so I would say that he's okay, and is pretty cool overall.
haha he has a "***" voice married to Ms. Aboody. Helped me throw a football better. Didn't notice when two boys stayed in the lockers for a double period of gym.
He's OK, and funny. Sometimes, he's not very helpful, but he was very easygoing.
Two Words: Show off. And this is my first time in hchs too, he's not that bad in running[the mile]. At least he said 3 times, unlike other teachers *cough*eachweek*cough* He shows off 'cause he just wants to tease us/urge us to do better.
Bad, bad, bad. Im a 7 and he's my first gym teacher and I hate him. he makes us run around all the time and ugh...
Hey, my class got a lot done. I also learned how to shoot a basketball better.
The problem is, even though I'm good at sports, he doesn't really identify with you and he likes picking on the one person who is the standout sports star EVERY TIME.
If you're good at sports he LOVES you. If you're not so good, he won't even remember your name. He knows what he's doing, but as a teacher, no way.
ok.. i'm a 7 and he is my 1st gym teacher at hchs. i'll put it this way, if all gym teachers are like him, i'm dropping out of gym he grades based on our runs
He doesn't grade fairly and he is always "demonstrating" things to us by working out by himself for half the class
Did he ever go over the whiffle ball test? I failed.
i think he should stop grading everyone based on their ability... its really not fair
I agree tthat he bases his grades more on athletism than on effort...
He's a nice person, but he tends to grade based on ability rather than effort. He isn't a star athlete, but do all gym teachers have to be?
im ready to kill that man! and his accent too! i just failed his volleyball test... maybe thats why....
