Dr Meyer is really nice but she accomplishes no teaching during class whatsoever other than having her students do skits
like im pretty sure we did a total of like 20 skits the entire year
The only time she teaches is for 5 minutes in the class right before a test which is not that helpful so everyone has to read the textbook outside of class which sucks
Honestly the best teacher at Harker. Really passionate about the subjects she is teaching and obviously extremely intelligent (Oxford educated). The only reason that her rating isn't higher is because Andrea Millius apparently has been going around giving other teachers bad reviews to make herself look better.
no idea what the person below was saying because her tests are hella easy. you don't have to study at all and she grades her essays so easily you can get 100 no problem.
she also knows a lot about history and is a really passionate teacher.
she's really nice and clear and has lots of great projects. you can goof off on your laptop in class and she won't mind, but doesn't change the fact that you have to study hard for the tests. but if you study for the tests you will do well.
Meyer is a great teacher. Nice with a British accent, and discusses important things to know for tests. She was a bit clueless regarding what people were doing on their laptops, but the students had the choice. Listen and take notes, or do badly.
She's a great teacher! Very helpful and clear. I learned a lot.
She was a pretty decent teacher, but I didn't learn too much because she basically spent the whole time reading from the book. I had a great 1st semester but a horrible 2nd, mainly because I slacked off though T_______T.
Wouldn't teach a damn thing. Made us copy from the book for the whole year. We were lucky if she let us use our laptops.
As a kid who really does appreciate history (I know it's a rarity), Dr. Meyer is an excellent teacher. She is very sweet and caring and always concerned about us kids. Her teaching style is not too hard because she expects us to assume the responsibility of studying. She's from England and seems to understand history in a more serious way than we do here in the US. Great class.
Very sweet and nice person! Not very strict, and doesn't teach the most, but she's an easy teacher and relatively helpful :)
Haha I loved this class, since all anyone did was play games. You need to actually read the book if you take WHAP next year though- you won't learn anything otherwise.
Let us just say there is a reason why we have renamed our History class to "Minecraft" and "Facebook"
she was the best history teacher sadly i failed her course :(
Even though I gave her a good rating, she didn't challenge me at all. I felt I was back in middle school.
She's a good teacher, but we do to much reading in class. I'd prefer a more hand's on learning experience. Really nice person.
She was so cool and so easy and so nice, you are really lucky if you have her.
