Incredibly knowledgeable in the field. However, one must consider Sal on two fronts. In the director's chair he has proven himself through his incredible shows (the ones not called "Great Expectations"). A ton of trust is placed within the Student Technical Directors which is a double edged sword. In the classroom it would be nice to delve deeper into the works discussed in class. However, all can agree Sal has the potential to act as a mentor, friend, and instructor for all.
He is honestly such a good teacher the people who have so many complaints about him only know him from the class and if they don't like a teacher because they don't do enough work for the class and the program then shame on them.
love-hate. he likes to talk about himself in the classes, but honestly, his shows are amazing.
It's an extreme love-hate thing. If you're in Drama and give one about it, he'll be cool and you'll actually learn from him. If not, well, expect yelling and tantrums. One of my favorite teachers.
honestly, stop complaining. Sal doesn't ask for a ton of work. He almost never gives homework and he's highly educated when it comes to theatre.
Mr. Salerno was one of the worst teachers I have ever had! He did not care about students who did not participate in his drama club
disorganised/lil to personal perhaps, yet does make the program what it is and is a good director (when some drama queen he elected isnt doing it). Cares about students/the program
You either love him or you hate him. Personally, I think he's great. Makes class fun, projects are actually *le gasp* interesting. My drama intelligence has skyrocketed due to him.
SAL ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing. he makes on tour wat it is.
If you just take him for English you won't do anything because all he cares about is drama. Maybe you'll read one book a marking period.
Verbally abusive. I wonder why none of the higher ups said anything about his cursing at students. Bitter that he didnt make it as a professional and takes it out on kids.
Good guy, knowledgeable and considerate - also creates a good social environment for the drama kids.
Uncle Sal sat my down on his lap one solemn day and told me what the meaning of life is. And a lot about guitars. The man knows everything.
I love Sal. He made high school complete for me. Although he may be a bit of a character, that's just part of what makes him great. Sal is On Tour
Sal as a person is amazing, but his classroom projects are a tad trying. I wouldn't trade it for the world though...he's Uncle Sal!
If you saw what he goes through with our stupid clas alone, ud have to give him an award
ohh please, 25 hours is 2 1/2 hours a week, and you can get up to 10 with fundraising. dont complain about sal, he makes drama what it is.
