She's bright and efficient. She got my kid to read books. Best teacher ever in my opinionl
She's a good teacher and it took me a full year to realize it. Without her class, I wouldn't have flourished as much in English. She might be difficult and snappy, but she's one of the better teachers at American. She might not show it, but she cares about her students. Go after school and ask her to help you with your essays, and she will.
So I'm a freshman and it's only the second week of school, and I feel like I have already become a better writer. There is so much work to do and it is in all honesty very hard but it pays off. She's actually super nice outside of class, she helped me find my way around campus and I really like her. I'm honestly a little scared to approach her in class, but I do know that she's strong. She stands for her ground and deserves and expects respect. I honestly love her class and she's SUPER funny.
Mrs. Gialdini is one of the most difficult teachers to get along with. She allows you participate in class frequently and accepts the answers. However, if you reflect those answers on your essays she ends up taking off points. I had a 79.98 in her class and she refused to round my grade up to a B.
Honestly, even though her class is very hard and basically a college course, I can really feel myself develop in writing. In the beginning of the year, she is very intimidating and there are countless essays; but just keep on pushing through because it pays off. I really like her commentary to books and poems because she explains it thoroughly and i truly feel like I understand the text. Words of wisdom : read directions and don't slack of in her class.
pretty average teacher, expect a lot of essays in the first few months of school
I had Mrs. Gialdini for Honors and AP and as a 9th grader, she seemed unapproachable, but as I later realized this had a lot to do with my natural shyness. Looking back, I attribute my writing prowess to her classes, as although grading was difficult initially, especially margins, I learned a lot about analysis and speaking techniques and didn't have to study for the AP exam. I got a 5. For anyone who is taking her class for the first time - put effort into your writing! It gets better.
I had Mrs.Gialdini for my sophomore and junior years of high school and I loved her so much. She's extremely intimidating (not gonna lie), but, once you get to know her, she's much more approachable. She's also so knowledgable and willing to help outside of class if you need. It's a really hard class (as is our english department at AHS), but it's definitely managable to get an A if you work hard. She wrote my reccomendation letter for college and was honestly my favorite teacher at American.
I'm Paramjot Singh and I had the pleasure of having Ms. Gialdini in my freshman year. While at first you feel a bit overwhelmed, by the 2nd half of the 1st quarter the sailing should get a bit smoother. That doesn't mean the course is easy, but you get used to what is expected of you and how to fulfill those expectations. I promise you that the effort you put into her class is worth it. I came out of Ms. Gialdini's class a better writer and thinker. Good luck and enjoy the course!
although she grades really hard on essays and projects, she was a great teacher and i learned more from her than any other english teacher ive had so far
Mrs. Gialdini is a great teacher who is knowledgeable, however she is a VERY hard grader and has high standards. She will mark you off if your essays are not MLA format. I took her AP English class without taking honors and managed to do well. She has weekly quizzes and reading quizzes which can either help or hurt your grade. I find that her reading quizzes can be hard at times. There are a few projects and a lot of essays. She can be intimidating, but she is a great teacher.
Mrs Gialdini is the first English Teacher who actually taught me something! She sets very high standards in her class so it is not easy to score highly unless you really put in 100% effort. Awesome teacher indeed!
She expects you to be super geniuses so if you aren't one of the smartest people in your grade, you're going to die.
Mrs. Gialdini may seem hard, but she's not if you put in time and effort onto the assignments. I raised my grade from a C to an A- with some extra hard work. She's a little more on the difficult side, but tolerable.
She's a great teacher that explains concepts really well and her tests are easy. The essays are alright, she's very critical about them, but it's something that influences someone to do better.
You do not want to get her shes like the most nit pickest person i've met
she ma favorite teacher. not. she do the margins good. not. she grades goodly. not. she grade me essays nise. not.
Ms. King is alright.... not my favorite teacher though. Crazy hard to get an A, but if you spend at least enough time on her writing and PROOFREAD for grammar, you will be fine.
Ms. King was a good teach at some times, but i mostly never understood what she meant for different projects and essays. She could be better and more reasonable.
Terrible teacher does not listen to any students even when she is obviously wrong in some situations.
Unreasonable, never grades on content, and, even though I was one of the few students to earn an A, I did not improve at all while in her class. She is also very rude to the students at times. She oft
My daughter is frustrated and she does not seem to have learned anything.
teacher who cares more about your printing skills and precise margins than what you have to say. Does not explain whatsoever; instead makes the students work together. As a result, students do not dev
Terribly hard but at least she never makes u do the creed project.
She is a very horrible teacher. Her explanations of assingments are not adequate enough for anyone to understand what she wants us to do. The secret to success in her class is to transfer out.
She is so picky! lowest grade i've ever had in an english class. But at least i'll be ready for college english by my sophmore year.
Always holds students to higher standard than she holds for herself. She is intimidating and not funny at all.
A.K.A. Ms.Steffensen. good teacher, I'm actually unofficially related to her. Do the work, pay attention, and participate, and you'll do fine.
