AP Lang was one of the hardest classes I have taken, but I loved everything I learned. Mr. Godwin has a talent for teaching such a difficult course & preparing his students for the big exam in May.
He's a beast!!!! He really makes you feel passionate about the topics studied in class. I love the MLK section and the reading assignments have become my favorite books. However, dont think because he's nice that his class is easy. There is not tons of homework given, but MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP WITH THE READING. If you dont, dont complain about getting low test scores. Overall, such a cool and loving man, would take his class again. :-)
Dude, Mr. Godwin is the best teacher at AHS!!! I mean really, how can an AP teacher teach you so well and have a personality? Really hard to come by nowadays, but his class isn't for the faint of heart. Focus in, READ YOUR BOOKS, and have fun!
Class is usually pretty interesting. You'll get annoyed with him if you don't like basketball; he loves to talk about it. His reading tests are rigorous, even if you read, because he doesn't want people using Sparknotes. Not an easy A, but possible.
He's a very nice man and very good at his job, which is really making us cheat a little less every single day because he no like that. His commentary during class movies is hilarious and memorable. He kind of reminded me of Kevin Costner.
He talks toooo much about basketbal -______- . Sometimes I fall asleep in his class. But he has a funny personality and he can make you laugh by just tripping !
I love Godwin. I looked forward going to AP Lang just to experience his teaching. He's funny and I LOVE the way he reads. He prepares you well for the AP exam. He's a big family man and you can tell they are the most important thing to him. He hates cheaters so don't even think about it. Although, I've noticed you kids get sneakier and sneakier every year. Anyway, after I was done with his class, I noticed I missed it immensely. Arlington's lit teachers are amazing.
Godwin is hilarious! he actually made ap lang. fun and i didnt dread going to his class! He's one of my fave teachers. He does a great job at teaching and getting along with students. I give him a lot
Godwin is funny at times and a really good teacher. But luckily this is the only time he'll be my teacher haha.
best teacher ever!!! honors lit might be tuff but if u work hard u can pass his class. I like it because he has positive energy always
Wow...Mr. Godwin is AMAZING that is the only word to describe his class. His passion for his work is inspirational and encouraging. I want to be an english major because of him. He's a gobber but cool
Mr. Godwin he is an amazing teacher...realates most of his classes to HOUSE the best show ever. He make his class fun..
Mr. Godwin is one of the funniest teachers i have ever had and keeps me awake when all my other classes do just the opposite. Sure, his tests may be hard, but it only helps prepare for the AP exam.
Godwin is one of the funniest teachers at Arlington. He explains each of his assignments well and clear! Other than a loyal Laker fan, Godwin is a Loyal TEACHER!!!!!
great teacher, lots of AP work, but it's all for his tests, he essentially gives you the answers from his homework. that's a plus. =] he's pretty awesome
he reminds me of dane cook....but in good teacher form.
He's somewhat narcissistic, but he uses it to his advantage (most of the time, that is,)
i love mr godwin. he makes class fun, esp. avid.too bad he left
he's an ok teacher...not the best and certainly not the worst. his tests are really hard, though, so you'll wanna study a lot...and i mean A LOT!!!
he's a good teacher, but he has the worst personality ever. really short attention spam and he expects waaay too much. i actually hate him A LOT.
He expects a lot from his students (and I mean a lot). He can appear a little jerky, but he really isn't. He's just an overall cool guy
Godwin can be very sensitive when it comes to certain political issues, but he's a great guy and motivated teacher.
Godwin's ok, kind of talks a lot and unprofessional and whiney, but hey, nobody's perfect.
I had Mr. Godwin for his 1st yr in AHS back in '95 and I will never forget him.
