He's a nice guy but I feel as if his explanations aren't at 100 percent. He sometimes bullies one kid by calling on him over and over when he knows that the kid is having a hard time on the subject. His tests are not that easy so it would be better if he loosened up.

I had this class last year for Spanish 1 and it was fairly easy. We speak and write a lot in that class but it pays off because you don't have to study as much at home. Most of the work is done in the textbook. Señor Hauptmann does randomly call people out to participate which I prefer more as to getting "participation points" from my current teacher. His class may get boring at times but overall it is a great class and it's easy to learn. Wish I had him for Spanish 2 ):

he's an okay teacher if you really pay attention and study the material. he teaches strictly from the book along with some other worksheets and daily stuff, but you could get an A If you do the homework and okay on the tests. HIS FINALS IN BOTH SEMESTERS ARE SUPER DUPER EASY!! he prepares you all around in writing, listening, and speaking.

Very good spanish teacher. I had him for Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 and passed. The people who dislike him don't do their work and study. Funny and gets the material through to the student.

He didn't like me for Spanish 1, but if you take him again for Spanish 2, he'll remember you and favor you somewhat. Don't be a smart mouth. If he likes you, he'll accept late work. To me, he was the best Spanish teacher. Although he puts people on the spot and acts strict, he really teaches you the material you need to pass. The best language teachers are the ones teaching a language that WASN'T their first language.

Although many people think Hauptmann is hard, he really isn't. He's a very funny teacher, and he even sounds like the main character from Despicable Me! He teaches very well and if you do your work, you can get an A, AND be prepared for next year's Spanish class. (I had him Freshman and Sophomore year)

Ok Hauptmann is probably the funniest teacher in Walnut High School and he doesn't even know when he's making a funny statement. He explains it very well. Slightly difficult to approach with questions regarding how to do something that he just explained. If you refuse to do homework, he makes fun of you which provides enjoyment to the rest of the class. "Hey chico! Chicle in la basura!!!"

I had him for spanish2, right after schultz, and i struggled hard in grammar. Spanish 2 is all grammar. He doesn't explain well at times, and his test fair. Really corny jokes. Very nice overall.

I think he's the best Spanish1 teacher since you actually learn and move faster than snail pace. Can be moody sometimes, but overall great and occassionally funny. Not as hard as ppl say he is.
