Ms Jacob... I don't know where to start... She is interesting. She does keep favorites and does not know what she is talking about much of the time. During the India or China units, she would seek out kids of those ethnic denominations to speak on the behalf of those respective countries. She can say very uninformed things too and honestly, if you didn't do your own research, you would fail the final because she doesn't help you out and her lessons are not helpful. You better love the textbook!
she is the very good person
she is a very good person
I had Ms.Jacob for Global (she was awful) and again for AHAP. For AHAP, she gave tons of HW assignments from the textbook, but for this class, that is how you learn the material. Don't rely on ANY teacher to teach you what you need to know to get a 5 on the AP..it doesn't work like that. Learn how to study and teach yourself- you will do yourself a HUGE favor for college. Ms. Jacob was a much better teacher for AHAP, class was not boring, and tests were not too hard (for an AP) IF you studied.
She is nice as a person, not teacher. Although essay topics were very reasonable, she grades so harshly on them. She takes off random points here and there and doesn't explain why. Grades like an English teacher. When I went in after class (I made an appointment) I asked why I got 38/40 and she said that she was just confused by my writing and moved onto the next person. The reason people get bad grades is she thinks 90 is "perfect".
To sum up the entire year : "well the textbook says..."
She is nice but sometimes her teaching style is very confusing.
Don't care much for Mrs. Jacob. She doesn't really know the material that she teaches...but hey, she grades essays really easily.
Very nice teacher. Although she appears to have absolutely no grasp over the material she teaches. Always says "I don't know", she says "um" often. If you want to learn in global then she is no good.
She's not a great teacher, but her class is awesome. AHAP is cool beans, lawlz.
not a great teacher but easy for ahap. she rushes a lot and we never get anything done in class, but if you study on your own you'll do well on the AP
Personally, global isn't my strength. Ms. Jacob doesn't like kids who aren't good at global. So good luck if you're not good at this course. She is a nice person, but a horrible teacher.
she teaches well. sometimes i do wish we would do less textbook work but u cant hav everything
She is a really nice teacher. I like her. fun projects.
boring, stupied, under estimates our intelligence, pointless work
in my opinion, she is a very informative, down to earth teacher.
Boring and copies work. Nice person. Seems normal out of class. Probably shouldn't be a teacher
definately the worst teacher ive ever had. she is nice, but she is a bad teacher and very hard especially all her tests
put it this way, if she were to take the final this year. she'd fail.
all she teaches is her pointless opinions and gives homework that she never goes over
Mrs. Jacob doesn't know the answers to any of the questions her students ask her. I ask her a question that is not yes or no... for example "How did they do this?" and she will reply, "Yes." !!!!
ok she gives alot of work that she doesnt check. but she lives out of the text book. she has no clue what she is acualy teaching about
She loves to try to impose her unusual points of view on the class and seems to teach them more often than the curriculum. Her homework is pointlessly boring and repettive. Her class discussions are obscenely boring and useless
she gives pointless homework. i think she thionks her point of view is the ciriculim. i dont enjoy her class.
She should not be a teacher. She doesn't know how to teach. She gives tests every other week. She gives homework everyday and never collects it/checks it.
This is how she grades the essays: She takes the 5 smartest kids in the class, doesn't read their essays and gives them a 100. Then takes the 5 dumbest kids, doesn't read their papers, and gives them 80's but includes random red markings.
I have her for AHAP and it's so clear that is she took the AP she would fail. I have never met someone who is so unintelligent. If you can avoid her-do it at all costs
Ms. Jacob takes forever to grade papers, she says things like, "whatever" and "like" too much, which shows she has a limited vocabulary. Students in my class ask her questions which she can't answer and correct her during her lessons. She gives too much hw
I can't even tell you how many people sleep in class everyday and how many times she says "well the big thing is," its hilarious, my whole class could teach her, she needs to make up her own material and stop teaching straight out of the textbook
wow. She alwaya makes mistakes on grading tests, she does not fully understand her material and is an embarassment...but on the bright side shes kinda nice...sometimes...
her class is made up of textbook, movie clips, questions on why she took points off the essay, and hilarious visits of her daughter and her leap-pad
She can't answer a questiona and doesn't even understand what she's teaching. If she lost her textbook, i doubt she'd come to school at all.
Well as person she is good--but why is she teaching an AP class when she tells her students that she did horrible in thatsubject in high school?
Jacob's not a very bright woman, and she doesn't know a lot about american history (i have her for AHAP). there have been a lot of questions that she didn't know the answer to, and she grades the essays very unfairly. if you can get mrs. pojer instead the
She is soooooo boring and never teaches us anything.
Struggles to control the class, but students give her a tough time.
She's just not smart at all. She'd fail her own class.
