One of my favorite teachers, I miss you. Rest in Peace.
Pretty good teacher. Goes fast and it's sometimes hard to keep up but he gives good examples and insists you use French only. It's hard, really hard at times but it works. Make up policy is a bit weird since you have to come during lunch or before school but it's ok. He enters grades on time and keeps class interesting.
Overall, a very good teacher but is quite strict on what might seem petty things. Pretty fair but he doesn't use the book much so you really have to follow his notes and handouts. I have done pretty well. No complaints here.
Mr. Gurule's class was one of my least favorite classes is high school. He picks favorites, and if you are not a favorite of his, expect your grade to be sabotaged regardless of the effort that you put into the class or the quality of your work. He is not a bad teacher, but he has a huge ego and he often lectures the class on how he is the best language teacher ever. If you are going to attend CHS, I would suggest taking Spanish because there are many options in terms of teachers.
Gurule's class is rigorous, but you learn a lot. It's repetitive, structured very well, and almost entirely in French. Gurule is also very strict, and has no problems controlling his class. He's also obsessed with cats. Overall, I recommend his class. Miaou!
Does a good job. Is fair but a bit strict. I can talk with my grandparents from France so I guess he has done something right.
Great teacher. Takes students on two trips each year. Consistent and fair. Don't care much for his makeup policy but overall, you get alot out of the class.
Very intense class but you learn so much and can do even more with what you learned. He has some quirky rules but is very fair. Probably the only teacher I ever had who actually checks if we on the right track during class instead of sitting at his desk.
He's very hard, he knows his stuff, but he is not clear at all, he speaks complete french and barely any english, few student's believe he has secret cameras in his room. He made a couple students cry at school! He is very strict, and will not allowed the slightest english in his class. Overall, a very hard, unclear and cat like. "Do what I ask, when I ask, how I ask and for how long I ask."
At first, he can be intimidating but if you approach him, you will find he's reasonable and actually very understanding. Takes his job very seriously and cares if you do well or not. Only issue I ever
Really good teacher who isn't afraid to admit he's wrong once in a while. Really knows his stuff. Goes really fast you learn alot and are never bored. Wish he would find another way to do orals.
Dude thinks he's the best teacher around. Problem is that he might be right. He goes fast but you never get bored and know when tests are. My French is good cuz of him. Hope he doesn't read this. LOL.
You know what's expected and when tests are. No surprises. The only teacher I have who checks our HW and cares if we are making progress or not.
He teaches really well. His class could be a little bit difficult but overall i think his the best language teacher at this school. Meowwww~~
Tries really hard to help us catch up on what we don't know. Expects ALOT but is patient. He is pretty open and honest for a teacher. LOL.
He's not even my teacher but I was desperate since my teacher s####. He took time to help and explained in an easy way without bs.
I know my rating are low, but seriously. gurule is an EXCELLENT teacher. i don't think i can ever say enough about what a top-notch teacher he is. his class is challenging, especially to those who hav
Does lots of different things to help understand. Tries and mostly succeeds in making it as simple as possible. He goes really fast though and you really need to work to keep up.
He's a good teacher and it really helps when he associates a new word with one we already know. The only thing I really have a problem with is that he goes too fast sometimes.
All I know is my friends in his class speak and write a lot better than we do.
Meh Gurule is a good teacher but gets on my nerves. He uses toys to illustrate his points and the class is clearly sick of it. Got a B 1st sem despite all my hard work... ugh....
He knows his stuff, but he needs to vary up the activities in his class. It gets very monotonous from time to time. And yes, I think he loves his stuffed animals a little too much.
He is kinda weird and mean at times...but he makes learning Spanish really easy.
he can act weird sometimes. n can get mad reallll easily. but besides dat, hes a really good teacher,u learn a lot from him. he does a good job.
i think that sometimes he acts as if we are stupid but i also think that he knows how to teach a lot better than mitescu (who knows only b.s.!!!)
He thinks that just because he is a teacher he knows EVERYTHING! he yells too much but you do learn from his class.
Has a bit of a temper, but he more than knows what he's doing. He actually TAUGHT me the language.. Mitescu made it a translation class. I liked him.
He can be a tad eccentric, but is generally a good teacher. His methods seem annoying at the time but actually help you learn the language.
i had him for a sub for two weeks in german last year and i already hate him!!!
i don't like him at all. he has a few good qualities, but overall, i don't like his class at all. i repeats things wayyyyy to much. we all want Mitescu back!
Class is pretty easy and he is usually nice, but he can get P.O.'d for little things. Also repeats things a lot.
