Mr. Head is one of the best English teachers I've had. Students learn a lot everyday. He is notorious for being a hard teacher, but he really cares about students. Much of the readings are done outside of class, and assessments are quite difficult. However, this is expected for a high level English class. It is possible to get an A in this class, but expect to put in a lot of work outside of class. Mr. Head expects a lot out of his students, and he puts considerable thought into his lectures.
Mr. Head is one of the best teachers I've ever had! Love him!
Good teacher, but has an interesting personality
I hated English pretty much since middle school until I had this guy. He is truly one of the best teachers I have had and you actually learn a lot. I improved my writing a lot and the class was very hard, but still fun at the same time. You have to keep up with your work and make sure you are on top of things, but as long as you read the books and pay attention in class, it will help you a lot to improve your english skills.
Definitely the best teacher I had at Chapel Hill. Class isn't easy but you will learn a great amount if you put forth some effort. Mr. Head is a very engaged and dedicated teacher who wants to see all of his students learn and do well. Respect that and you will benefit from his class.
I had Mr. Head for AP Lit, and taking his class was one of the best moves I made in high school. Yes, his class is very difficult and you have to work hard to even maintain a B, but you'll come out a much better reader, writer, and student.
Mr. Head is a great teacher. He's definitely the best English teacher I've ever had, and perhaps the best teacher I've ever had over all. He's very strict but at the same time he's really funny and nice if you follow directions and try your best. He's obviously very passionate and dedicated and I think that's extremely important.
mr head grades papers incredibly hard and his projects are very hard. he is very funny and likes to joke but he can get very angry and make the class very unfun.
Grades papers like bibles/torahs/masters theses. His tests are somewhat ridiculous, and the work he gives seems pointless and tedious. The point is, study hard and study well. Good, but ridiculous.
Best English teacher at CHHS. Hard but fair grading. Awesome class. His sense of humor is ridiculous. And yes, you do have to read the books, but you'll actually learn.
Best teacher i've had at chapel hill, Funny, enguaging, Takes time to make sure the students know what they are doing. Very hard, but its an honors course so its to be expected. He treats the class fairly and like adults, Rather than little kids. If you get him as a teacher, you will do VERY well if you try and have fun at the same time.
Hard class, funny guy, really liked his class, when student teacher started teaching grade started slipping. Good thing he gets to teach again.
Very helpful and he'll make funny jokes in class but don't slack or get off topic . Pay attention and try hard and he will respect that. Tests are difficult so study. Take this guy, he makes it fun.
Great class, challenging but not impossible. A nice guy with a weird but interesting personality. Feel very lucky to have had him for Lit this year.
Mr. Head is an awesome teacher. His class may be hard but he really prepares you for the years ahead.
what an awesome guy, I learned so much in his class, and when i go beck to visit CHHS, he'll be one of the first that I see.
Half of our exam was a timeline of Nigerian history. When I had him, we didn't learn literature, we learned history that was all but irrelevant to the books.
although hes a hard teacher, he makes you learn no matter what. he makes you interested in his class! well done job mr head!
Unforgettable. He sure could objectify my correlative anytime.
Greatest teacher and coolest guy I have ever met. Puts more work into his lessons than any teacher I've ever had. A real class act. I hope I get him next year.
Mr. Head is the an amazing teacher who is also incredibly attractive.
hard class, but he makes it bareible with his anticdotes (correct spelling where needed headdy!)
who would want a better english teacher? he's the best. definitely the bee's knees
Mr. Head ROCKS MY WORLD!! he's the best teacher i've ever had. i want to be a teacher b/c of him. thanks Mr. Head, and continue to rock'n'roll!
AP Lit this year is a breeze compared to Mr. Head's class. I miss him, he has good taste in humor and music and makes his class interesting.
Mr. Head is a very smart groovy guy that makes me happy about English, and I have already learned alot. IT IS VERY HARD but i am becoming a smart monkey.
I had Mr. Head for two years. I dislike the way he grades, but once a student understands what he expects and how he grades things can begin to level off.
Very tough tests & expects a lot but is an excellent teacher. Prepares you very well for other english classes, knows his stuff, wants you to succeed.
VERY Hard. Don't take his class if you don't care b/c he will make you WORK!
english with mr. head was real hard last year; but he was always willing to help me at lunch and after school and he was real nice reviewing stuff with me
the best english teacher ive ever had, and probably ever will have. his class is hard, but worth it in the long run. wish i had him again.
He prepared me for all english classes from here on. The best teacher I ever had, hands down.
Mr. Head is the best English teacher I have ever had. He can sometimes make you mad, but you learn a lot in your class, he lets you write what you want, and you will always be glad that he was your teacher. He makes all the other english teachers look b
Mr. Head makes me want to major in english! He is fantastic! I had him for two years and I have learned so much from him than all my other classes combined.
