I had Hammy for Biology, and he taught me more than what was needed for a five. Like all classes, it is what you make it. If you try on the homework and care about the class, you'll have a great time. If you copy all your homework and doze off during his lectures, you'll absolutely hate it. He is super knowledgeable and incredibly enthusiastic about bio. His lectures got me an easy 5 on the test, I totally recommend his class if you enjoyed bio freshman year.
I'm very conflicted about this teacher. On one hand, he is VERY enthusiastic about biology and clearly loves the subject and all the cool things that have to do with it. The problem is that he doesn't seem to enjoy teaching it very much (at least, he's not very good at it). As a teacher who has been teaching for many years, he seems to just be reusing old material and sending us out into the world without total clarification. Especially on the new updated parts of the AP Test...
One of the best and most inspiring teachers I've ever had. Mr. Hammack went above and beyond with our physics class. It's rare to find a teacher that is as excited to teach and can explain with deep understanding. Mr. Hammack clearly loves what he does and always has great demonstrations and a goofy sense of humor.
Mr. Hammock does not put any effort into his class. He is a horrible teacher. He refused to change his curriculum, even though the college board changed the AP test. I hated AP Bio with Mr. Hammock.
hammack is AWESOME. i don't know whats up with some of these other reviews... i was completely dreading physics this year but now i have a great grade and it is one of my favorites this year. he gives a lot of quizzes, but they are almost always super easy. he is a funny and laid-back guy. he tries to keep you late quite a bit, but otherwise he is great
I was dreading physics but his class is actually my favorite this year. He allows the students to teach each other, only interjecting if we actually need help, and that makes us actually learn the information. Very nice, funny guy. Do the homework, study the quizzes, you can easily get an A while actually enjoying yourself.
Mr. Hammack is past his prime. He watches movies during class, gives too many tests and can't handle the workload he is given through teaching AP biology. He used to be a great teacher but now he is just extremely lazy and the class is not worth it. To put things in perspective, we were given a very long summer assignment that i put many hours into. We turned it in the first day of class and received on the last day of the semester. I felt like I put far more time in his class than he ever did.
Mr. Hammack is not a nice man. he got very lazy this year, and is very mean.
bio work is intense but he loves the subject and is a great teacher. totally prepares you for the ap bio exam!
Great teacher. Loves his Bio students, will go to great ends to answer a question. Teaches physics at a paintfully slow rate, and gives a lot of mindless busy work, but makes sure people learn stuff.
Really cool and fun guy, who goes all-out to help his students. Gets a little over-angry sometimes over stupid things (e.g. tardiness).
the class may be hard and he might not explain things at first but try ur hardest and hes the coolest!!! he really relates to the students and has a great sense of humor!!!!
Ham and Cheese all the way. Skunk story rocks. Could be more eager to help.
Got to know him really well on the Florida trip.. Ham Cheese rocks!
Cool teacher, but pretty hard. Knows what he's teaching, has fun too.
who ever thought that 7th period could be so much fun. pizza....
Had him my freshman and senior year, really fun classes and a great guy!
Hammack is cool. Just don't break his physics toys. =0P
Super cool when in a good mood, best to avoid (hide) when in a bad mood
it was hard for him to answer people's questions. a kishler wannabe
Such a nice person and truly wants you to learn the material. Such a fun class!
Goes off on tangents many times.....ask about the skunk story
