Mr Kosmas is truly a wonderful person. He is really funny and has a knack for stories and jokes. His class is a bit on the harder side but he does believe in learning independently and for students to make their own discoveries. He's fantastic and I highly recommend.
He made AP Chemistry a living nightmare for the entire year. He just gave us note packets he found online and make us print our own 20 page packet of video notes every other week. We had to watch nearly an hour of video notes every single day. His method is atrocious and he doesn't seem to understand how students learn. He believes our class lacks competitiveness to other classes that are "90 minutes long". He compensated by overbearing us with homework. (Those 90 minute classes are every o/ day
It's a shame that GPN has a teacher like Kosmas working there. He teaches lessons literally 5 minutes before we are about to take a test. You can retake all quizzes and tests, and the review looks exactly the same. There's really no learning involved and it's too easy. He's nice, but unorganized and doesn't teach anything. He will give worksheets about subjects we have never seen, expect us to finish them, and then slightly go over this new topic with no explanation. Horrible teacher.
I am an unbiased student with above a 4.0 and I have also gotten an A+ in his class all quarters. He is the WORST teacher I have ever had. Does NOT teach at all. It's a shame that all of us students don't step up and report him, because EVERYONE is struggling, stressing, and cramming information in. It's ridiculous. I am in AP courses and find myself dedicating most of my time teaching myself. Preparation for college is such an absurd excuse for his ignorance. Switch out.
He doesn't teach much and treats us like we are in middle school.
Honestly, Mr Kosmas is so sweet and kinda funny. But he doesn't explain well. He's a really awesome guy. I'm lucky that I am able to self teach myself. I don't want to bash him because he's really cool but if you're a student who really needs help in science, switch out of his class, unless if you're pretty independent.
Definitely the funniest teacher, but is confusing on his teaching. He really does try his best to teach, but he just sucks at doing it.
Koz is my boy!!! He's hilarious. Not the best teacher of course, but he is a great guy.
He definitely knows his stuff. Just a shame he doesn't teach us anything of what we need to know. Best way to pass his Chem/Honors Chem class is to only listen to his stories and teach yourself.
He's really nice, and if you ask for help he has no problem giving it. He wants you to try to figure stuff out on your own to prep for college, but if you need help, just ask.
he doesn't explain anything. i understand that he's preparing us for college, but i think its more important to teach chemistry so we're not all really confused. noone in my class understands anything
Hes preparing you people for college, were you get almost none 1 on 1 help from a teacher
his teaching method isn't exactly my favorite, but the class is pretty easy and there are lots of cool explosive demos.
i loved him, he's awesome but he doesn't teach you a thing unfortunately :( ask him to tell you about how he lived in diff. countries. he has a lot of good stories!
