You'll think she's terrible in the beginning of the school year, then realize that you're actually somehow learning just as much as the other classes and accept her goofiness. She's not a good teacher, but she won't ruin you. She is the least observant teacher though, make sure not to sit near troublemakers, she'll think you're responsible for their actions. You can get away with almost anything though, she doesn't notice.

Bring something to do to her class. listening to her lecture is a waste of time cause you don't get anything out of it. Plays favorites but doesn't bump their grades. Multiple choice tests, just get someone who actually pays attention to make a study sheet and you should be fine. Don't expect 100s, aim for 90s.

She is abysmal. A month into the school year, she has only spent three periods solidly teaching. Most of the time, she lectures us, repeats herself ten times, and finishes the period by writing a term on the board. When confronted about her failure to teach, she yelled about her tenure and dismissed the class, leaving those who spoke up to stay behind for the remainder of the period. At least 70% of test material was not even mentioned in class, let alone taught.

You won't learn anything in her class, I just go on Tumblr in all of her classes. She assigns huge chunks of textbook reading a week before her tests and make you responsible for it. We actually confronted her and now I'm getting absolutely no participation merit because I voiced my honest opinions. She knows a lot, she just doesn't know how to string them together into a lesson and just tells stories. And she DEFINITELY has favorites, it's only people she bothers getting to know the names of.

Anyone would love her as their Great Aunt Sue.... not as their bio teacher.
She's super sweet and tells lots of stories, and okay maybe she does pick favorites, but it really doesn't affect anything. But she's pretty much a terrible teacher.

i love her so much, but she's not a good teacher. she's really funny but she goes off on tangents and doesn't teach in class. you have to teach yourself from the textbook. she's such an easy teacher

She is a great teacher, and I really learn alot from her class. Her tests are pretty hard though, but thats okay since we get no HW except for lab reports and she lets us out early all the time.

Kiddies have to calm down and show some respect! Had her in 7th grade, and thought she was kind of a joke. Had her for AP Bio junior year, and realized how much she's done in her life; she's been everywhere, worked for everyone, and experienced so much. She's brilliant, and a little kooky, and even though you don't think you're learning anything, in the end you come out knowing that "It's all related, man!" (ask her about that one) which the other kids often don't.
FYI, she doesn't really like the little o

In the last two months of school, she's called on us exactly once, and that was to chastise us for being sick and having to go the bathroom. She really doesn't let students present their side of the story and gives insanely hard tests on topics we didn't even cover. Then, she blames the it on us for bad behavior, so we didn't get to cover all the topics. Regardless, her classes are absurdly boring. Droning on and on about complicated terms we haven't learned. In that Southern accent.

Very boring. We go over the same exact material for a week before moving on. She doesn't know her stuff. We were able to convince her that dirt is a natural resource and she let us out when she didn't want to teach. On the last day of school, she went on a rant about how all Asian girls looked the same. Nice job ending the year on a high note, Monroe.

One of the poorest teachers in the school: she doesn't actually teach, puts very little effort in, and it shows.

I think her "anger" is more moodiness but it's harmless, I think. Maybe that's because I find her stories so whacky and hilarious and that accent! She's okay really.

The thing about Ms. Monroe is if she likes you, and you don't completely space out and race a hand once in a while, you have an A. If she doesn't like you, then you might as well start with a B and work your way down. Her tests range from really easy to hard enough to make you cry, with no median in between. On the plus side, her stories are absolutely hilarious, in their absurdity.

DON'T TAKE AP BIO!! She is awful. Horrible teacher. You haven't seen favorites until you meet her! Consider yourself warned. And, I got a 5 on the AP and did well in her class. I still think she is the worst.

she doesn't really teach class, and your entire grade is based on the tests you take. labs don't matter that much, and if you don't pay attention at all but do well on the tests, you'll get yourself an A or an A+ or maybe an A-. but i guess if you paid attention and talked with her, it'd be better.

She's a great person and it seems like she's had a lot of life experience, but as a teacher...ehhh...she's really ditzy like she didn't learn half our names until January, and just the other day she pointed at someone and asked me what her name was. She has to look in the textbook to know what she's supposed to be teaching us. But the stuff she does teach, you remember, and she's funny and nice.
