I am an alumna from the class of 2000 and I had Ms. Fetter for 3 years while in High School. It's very disappointing to read some of these reviews from what sound like entitled students who are used to easy A's and who are bitter about their GPA. She is clear about her expectations and follows through with them. I was not strong in math, but she went above an beyond to help me understand the concepts and apply them to real life. THAT is teaching.
Ms Fetter seems to get a bad rep. As a rising junior in college I look back on my stat class with Ms Fetter and I'm SO glad she was my teacher. She definitely marches to the beat of her own drum but she genuinely wants to see each student succeed and knows what she's talking about! She's very bright and caring and I think every school needs more teachers like Ms Fetter. I'm terrible at math but with the help of Ms Fetter I learned to enjoy the subject. I highly recommend taking her class.
Ok so Ms. Fetter is the kind of teacher where if you do your work and study, you'll be fine. If you don't, you will fail. Great person and very helpful if you see her out of class. These bad reviews should reflect the student rather than the teacher
Ms. Fetter is very nice and she seems to care about the students. However, she does not teach particularly well, and her tests are catastrophic. Every test I've seen her grade, from myself and other students, has received about two letter grades lower than warranted, and contained far more content than fully covered. Again, she is very nice on a personal level but that does not apply to her as a teacher.
She may seem like an innocent, sweet old woman at first. But underneath her floral-print mask is an unstable schizophrenic. She is incredibly unprofessional - she talks too much about her personal life, at a level that is inappropriate in class. She was left at the alter, her boyfriend cheated on her, she broke her hand, her sister has cancer... A vain attempt to feel appreciated. She is fairly knowledgable of the subject, but her overreactive nature and instability makes her unfit to teach.
a really great person, cares about your well being, really helpful if you see her out of class..but doesnt want you to get into college. dread the hour long blocks. avoid.
Honestly, she is nice but not a good teacher. She too often goes into detail about her personal life and takes it personally if you don't like math. Also, she takes off unnecessary points on tests.
This class was awful. She used way more examples than were necessary, and gave huge amounts of useless busy work. Avoid her if at all possible.
Oh come on she's a good teacher. Her off-centerness makes her funny, but she really cares how you are doing in the class.
If she tells me to be 'quick like a bunny' one more time, i'm going to go postal. End of story.
A really great person, can't remember a thing I learned
her lectures were unhelpful, she talked about personal life.nice person badteach
Perhaps she meant well but I blame her for my hatred of math.
