I had Ms. Jay for AP Psych. She was really awesome. She keeps a really cool demeanor so you can't tell when she's pulling psych tricks on you, but it was a lot of fun. I really didn't know how much she cared about our class until she was in tears saying goodbye to us on the last day of school. For AP Psych, the AP test was our final, so that was cool.
You learn most of the material through the textbook (AP Psych), so it's okay if you miss a class. It doesn't really stress you out, and Ms. Jay is super cool as a person, so discussions will be interesting if your class participates.
I'm uphalled by the sub par ratings for Ms Jay. I had her for two courses and can confidently say she does not play favorites and is also a great teacher. I know she will take extra steps to help you, but you have to be willing to help yourself. With that said, if you are the type of student that "flies under the radar." Yes, you are not going to get a decent grade if you are not trying to participate in class.
I had her class for psychology(regular) and she is a really nice teacher. Though she does make you do lots of notes (dont do it the night before lol trust me and everyone else that has) the class is really fun and easy. You learn lots of stuff in that class as well. :)
Shes AWESOME! Learned a lot from her and her class is really fun, she lets people eat and chill a lot but still has her limits and teaches you stuff about the world! Internation relations! Yugo!- Adin
I had her for AVID sophomore year, and then again jr year for psych and omg, I love her! She does play favorites a litte, so get on her good side. She's easy to get to know, and really nice :D
She's great. She knows what you're thinking, knows what you're doing next. Amazing. Wonderful. Mellow and chill teacher. Kind of lost sometimes, but still very influential.
shes trying to be a hip teenager, always showing off her 'amazing social skills. when her ex-students come by, she's like "look at me, i have friend, i know how to have a conversation!" playsfavorites
What can I say? Easy. Easy. Easy. She's funny, hip, lets you eat in class. She's almost like a friend than a teacher, although she does have her limits.
I had her for psychology and man did I learn a lot! Her class was fun and it got me interested in international affairs and such. Too bad she didn't teacher Int. Relations this year. Many people signed up because we thought she was gonna teach it, like me
opened students eyes to the world outside of the bay area and the US. got students thinking and interested in world affairs
i loved ms.jay.. she was the best teacher.. super nice and funny and just a great all around teacher
well i mean i like how in her class we always have something to do but i feel as much as i work and as hard as i try it does nothing her class is 2 hard!
she is so boring! but she is nice and sometimes her class is interesting...but mostly boring!
ms jay is cool and international relations class 5 period rocks love always former student monica ayon i was argentina
She favors and is unfair. If you are on her good side then expect an a, but if you're not then I feel sorry for you. Her class can be easy if she likes you.
well ms. jay is cool but she gives a lot of work. she needs to calm down a bit on the work. cuz its getting me all stressed out. otherwise shes a great teacher.
She is a very good teacher and you learn a lot from her.
Even thought Im not in her history class but something eles shes a pretty cool teacher she really changed the way I think and I'm greatful for having her
