Given that she is a very demanding and strict teacher, most weak-minded students will immediately turn away from her class. But, I endured the entire curriculum. Although I averaged a 76, I am stunned with the amount of knowledge that I accumulated in her course. I am happy to know that I am a better writer, all thanks to Ms. Soltis.
One of my best and most difficult teachers. She has little tolerance for poor behavior and bad work and offers little encouragement to her students... she is truly an AP teacher. Did awful in the class, but learned a lot.
You will get bad grades in her class, so it's best you get past that. She judges your writing as critically as possible, but isn't one of those "red pen" teachers who just cross stuff out without telling you why. I can honestly say that my writing is much better after taking her class than it ever was before. A tip to her students: Write your common app essay at the end of the year (when your skills are at their peak), because by Senior year your writing will not be as good. Great Teacher.
loveee ms. soltis, such a great teacher and a nice person
She is a great teacher.I am a very good writer now because of her(wasn't be4.) She helped me acquire skills that I will be using for my entire life. She is amazing I just have a lot of respect for her.
If you don't like her...you are probably a bad student or don't appreciate how much she is teaching you. I got a 5 on Ap eng b/c of her.
she really helped me with my writing and i liked the project
i really didnt enjoy this year in english, i mean i learned a lot about the books but i thought the grading was very unfair and partial
Shes hard to explain, she could be hard at times but i think she is nice and teachs the students pretty well
Not an easy teacher, but one who truely makes you think and learn and that's something I really respect in a teacher.
