Our son and now daughter have had similar experience with Susan, low level interest, knowledge, or support for students or their progressive success. Asking questions engenders negative/judgmental responses. She just did lie to our daughter that no class changes could be made until second semester, in spite of being assigned 4 teachers with 2 star ratings. Untrustworthy person , who should not be on staff.
With the 4 years I went there, she barely remembered my name. Susan would often forget appointments and to tell you the truth she undermined plenty of hispanic and other minorities at the school. She would tell them they had no chance of being accepted into a college so they automatically gave up. I had a friend who dreamed of going into a UC but was shattered because SUSAN didn't tell her she was required to retake the course for the semester she got a D in (same story with me).
Susan WIlson was my children's counselor at WHS for over a decade. In short ,she was rarely available, hard to reach, failed to respond to emails , and often forgot appointments. She offered the minimal amount of guidance to my children and rather than inspiring confidence in them ,tended to undermine them . Overall Ms Wilson lacked the genuine interest , sincerity and warmth high school kids and their parents seek from a guidance counselor.
a really mean lady, doesnt care about students. never gives people a chance to talk, and she thinks her opinions are the only ones correct. she is always grouchy and frowning(ive been here 4 year and never saw her smile). she really despises kids
not helpful or kind to students. feels that her opinion is the only valid one. difficult to communicate with. is not here for her students. NEVER available after 3 pm
If you are someone who tries a bit at school, and know what you want to do, she can be very nice and helpful, otherwise I wouldn't be so sure
