I loved Dr.Mazur. She is extremely smart and is probably classified as a genius. But because she is so mart she may teach something like it is easy, because it is so easy for her to learn, but in reality it could be a difficult topic. In conclusion Dr.Mazur was one of my favorite teachers that year because she is hilarious and nice, and I love her analogies.
I had Mama Mazur for Honors Chemistry. I found her Honors Chem class to be pretty straight forward. Beware though, if you struggle with Chemistry, you might struggle in this class since she's almost in a way too smart to teach. Other than that, her class is really enjoyable.
I've heard horror stories about her AP Chem class though...
Dr. Mazur is a very smart person. She clearly knows a lot about chemistry. However, she does not know how to teach. She rarely teaches, and most of the time we do useless worksheets that don't help at all. Whenever you ask her a question, instead of helping she gives you a vague response and makes you feel bad for asking. She constantly loses homework and labs, even occasionally losing tests. Her desk is the most unorganized place in Roswell High School. She is the worst teacher I have ever had.
She is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in all of my years in school. She has absolutely no enthusiasm at all whatsoever as to what she is teaching, and she does not teach at ALL. I rated the exam difficulty a 3 because her exams would be very easy IF SHE ACTUALLY TAUGHT WHAT WAS ON THEM. Every single day is just her writing things on the overhead with ridiculous far fetched analogies that are supposed to help you learn, but in reality just confuse you more, if that is even possible.
She plays favorites, the only reason I passed her class was because she liked me and we talked about Georgia football alot. I feel bad for the other kids because if she does not like you and you cant comprehend her horrid handwriting on an outdated overhead than your piss out of luck.... Good luck your gonna need it.
No doubt the most knowledgable teacher in the science department, Dr. Mazur is also the most difficult if science is not in your gifts. Getting on her good side is a must. When I had her, she had no enthusiasm teaching an on-level chemistry class and this sparked no drive to learn from me. I passed her class by going to neighboring science teachers and quickly and easily learned what I needed to pass. Maybe it's just me, but everything she said sounded like the teacher from the Peanuts.
She plays favorites, and if you aren't in the "in" crowd, you get lower grades, NO help when asked for, and ignored. Of all my teachers, she cared the least whether you actually learned the subject
She was an amazing teacher...definately the BEST i had a Roswell..i had her for 2 years..ChemStudy and AP Chem..Do the labs very well.and make sure if you need help to go in in the mornings! Love Her!
Mazur goes the perfect speed for me to keep up, though some other have problems. Definitely my favorite teacher of sophomore year. Get on her good side and stay there. Easy if you understand the material. As long as you show you know what to do, she doesnt care about homework .
Dr. Mazur is probably one of the smartest teachers at Roswell...too smart...so smart that sometimes she can go a bit fast on some confusing chemistry notes. She is a very nice lady and will find tutors for those who need it. *labs need to have everthing on it- even if she doesn't say or if she might slighly mention it in class. GOOD LUCK !!
DR mazur is good if ur on her good side, just be sure to call her DOCTOR and do the labs meticulously, although she changes dates constantly
she is realllly smart ... she definitely knows what she is doing and she expects the most from her students....she isn't always clear though..overall good teach
she's really hard...but she knows what she's doing! great teacher!
Shes so smart that she sometimes doesnt know how to explain to us not so smart ones...great teacher tho
dr. mazur is a very sweet lady. you are lucky to have her, even though her class is hard!
Her class is one of the toughest there is, but she knows completely what she's talking about. You've got to respect her. She also cares about her students!
Her AP chem class is the most challenging science class i've ever taken. Be prepared fro 2 hour tests and labs. Only class where a C is a good grade!
