Ms. Lijek is one of the kindest, most supportive, and most enthusiastic teachers ever to grace BHS with her presence. She is a genius about teaching her subject, and nurtures student curiosity and growth in a way that is unmatched in the rest of the school. Idk about honors, but for AP, there's no one better out there. The class is challenging, but extremely rewarding. I'm so sorry for all of you out there that will never get to have her. Happy Retirement, Ms. Lijek!
AP Bio was one of the worst classes I have ever taken. She SEEMS nice, but in reality the class it outrageous and she doesn't know how to teach. Her tests have minimal relation to the content, her labs are unnecessarily extensive, and she doesn't understand how much work she gives us. Despite that, however, the seven months of pain you endure with her prepare you well for the AP, but I could've gotten a 5 with a much easier and better taught class.
Lijek is pretty much the definition of evil. Her tests are super hard (application questions vs. simple recall) and way harder than the AP is and probably ever will be. And she doesn't round so good luck with that. She is very passionate about what she teaches, which is a bit off-putting when she doesn't realize how difficult AP Bio really is for students. She also plays favorites meaning that if she doesn't like you, you're pretty much screwed. 0/10 would take again.
Very nice person, but the amount of work given out in that class is outrageous and inappropriate. What I find most disturbing about Ms. Lijek is that she doesn't seem to get how hard her class is, often saying that her tests and labs are easy (NO).
One of the most passionate people I have ever met in my life. She has opened my eyes to the wonders of biology, despite an unnecessarily large workload. You are lucky if you have the opportunity to be taught by her.
One of the most caring AP teachers in the school. Even if you turn in your lab late, she will understand what you are going through and will try to give you an extension.(Don't take this for granted!!
Her class is really, really hard (AP) in terms of workload, but she's a great teacher and she's really nice. She really cares about the students.
An amazing teacher; so incredibly invested in the learning of her students, and cares so much about our success. However, the class is still obscenely difficult with occasionally invalidated work.
She is a very good teacher. AP bio really does prepare you, and the amount of work you get forces you to create better study habits. Mrs. Lijek is also a very nice, fair, and unbiased teacher. Put in the work, and its great.
She is hard, and often give unnecessary amounts of work. AP Bio = no sleep
Ms. Lijek really gets you interested in bio. She is engaging... the class is hard but worth it, you'll get a 5 and you'll enjoy what you're doing as well.
SHE'S AESOME, HER CLASS IS FUN AND INTERESTING, SHE'S LIKE MY FRIEND
