what a teacher, she really pushes you to do your best and really wants only the people who are commited in honors if you are comitted you will suceed she challenges us and if you get to really know her you will find her to be great, honestly her class is the one class where I actually get to use my brain to its fullest and be intrigued by what she says.
Worst teacher I've ever had, period. She is very confusing and doesn't follow a curriculum. If you aren't the smartest kid she won't teach to your needs. She doesn't understand that kids have different learning levels. If you make a mistake she will never forget about it and constantly make fun of you and pick on you for it. She really scared some kids including me and we never asked questions in her class again. The only way I learned in her class was from the homework. Just a horrible teacher.
An awesome teacher. She is really critical, but I think that is one of the things that make her so good!
She is very confusing, and if you don't understand one part of the lesson most of the time you will be lost the entire time, and won't understand the homework. She makes fun of her students, and makes fun of you if you don't understand or do badly on the homework. Her lessons often have tangents and don't teach you what you need to know. To do well in the class, you have to already understand all the material for the year. The class is for the smartest of the school, not the above average.
I love ms. Finklelstein's class
All you really gotta do is think five year old simple. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
She is the best math teacher ever.... that is a fact.
Ms. Finkelstein was one of the best teachers I've ever had! She's super fun and cool, and even if her class is challenging, that's what makes it fun! I can't thank her enough for teaching me while I was at Diamond!
one of the best teachers you could ever have, so interesting and so helpful. she isn't afraid to break the rules and isn't orthodox at ALL. i feel sorry for whoever dropped out of her class, she's an honest blessing.
One of the best teachers I have ever had.
SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. Honestly, she is sometimes confusing but a devoted student who is passionate about math will stick with her.
All you have to do is think five year old simple.
She is an amazing teacher.
Ms. Finkelstein is completely unorthodox. There is no better word to describe her. Her work is extremely difficult and she always challenges her students to actually think about the problems. She also isn't afraid to tell you that your work is trash in front of the whole class. While I had her, at times, I despised it. However, looking back on it, I learned so much in that class and wouldn't trade it for anything. She taught me about math, life, and myself.
Mrs. Finkelstein is not really a good teacher because her class is totally geared towards the kids who have done in math outside school. For anyone who isn't very knowledgeable of math her class is completely un-understandable. The homework is way too hard, some of the problems stumped my dad, who has a PHD in mathematics. Thus she is not a good teacher, she needs to learn how to gear her class towards more than one kind of student!
Extremely good at everything.
Very very hard teacher......Affected two years of my high school life and all of my middle school life. Because of how tough she was, I was turned into a social outcast due to poor grades in math, had a bad base for high school and had generally a terrible 2/3 years of middle school life. Thankfully however, I recovered but if you have her....be careful. I know people who aced her class and people who failed completely (like me). Personally I would not recommend her but we're just not compatible
I have had the honor of being able to have had her for all three years, and I must say that in her class I have learned more than any other subject, while still maintaining a fun atmosphere. She is a wonderful person and teacher, and I deeply regret that I do not have her anymore.
Ms.Finkelstein is the best teacher there is. She really connects to students and has awesome ways of teaching things. She is not at all easy but I enjoyed the challenge. Also, she's always there to help. I used to hate math but then I had her in 6th grade and everything change. You don't know math until you've been taught by Ms.Finkelstein. Pickles rock!
She's so nice, and the only reason she gives hard assignments is that she knows they're going to help you in the future. I got a B first quarter, but she said it doesn't matter, that I am smart, and
Ms. Finkelstien is the best teacher ever
She is not easy. This is good!!!!! She is extremely helpful, and concise. She is easily the most popular teacher and the best teacher in the school. She is the teacher you want.
She confused me... I had her in 6th grade, and she did all these things without explaining it and I was so confused. So she kind of hated me. Like hello, first day of 6th grade and you're making me do
That just means your don't do yur hw the day before it's due. That's why she gives you half a week, you know? And if you appear good at the beginning of the year(doing hw, answering Q's)she likes you.
I had Ms. Finkelstein 4 yrs ago, and she is still one of my favorite teachers. She's hilarious, unorthodox, and brilliant. I've never had a class which was so hard and so incredible at the same time
my 6h grade math teacher sometimes shares the room with her. One time i was there and all i understood was hallallallahallaal
Ms. Finkelstien is an awesome teacher! If you've never had Ms. Finkelstein, you don't know what math is.
You only hate her if you don't like working. Otherwise you love her, and I do!
Mrs. Finkelstein is enthusiastic, engaging, and creative. She does not go down well with people who do not want to work, but who would want to teach someone like that anyway? Work hard and enjoy!
Best thing at Diamond for students who want a REAL challeng. If the new principal tries to make her teach to the LCD I hope she comes to LHS! She makes us THINK! Hence abysmal or awesome ratings.
Mrs Finkelstein is the single biggest reason I want to stay at Diamond. Her approach to teaching math is creative and unique. She truly helps many students fall in love with discovering mathematics.
She is the best math teacher in the world. I'm russian and shes russian and all you 1 1 1 people, just do your homework earlier and fix it when she gives it back. Simple.
Great teacher. but if your in her class you have to want to learn, or else.
Shes..............interesting. She teaches you to think and thats good but she called my friend a social disaster in class. Shes odd... bu okay.
One of the best math teachers I have had over the course of Middle school. Interesting and captivating classes as well. Two thumbs up!
even thought ms. finkelstein isn't like other math teachers, she actually teachs you to THINK!!!!!!!! instead of having an adult tell you the answers all of the time. An amazing teacher!
Finkelstein was phenomenal; i had her in 7th grade, couple yrs back. She may not be the clearest sometimes, but she promotes abstract thinking and real problem solving.
Finkelstein was a great math teacher. She's challenging but fun. A great teacher.
she is unhelpful with problems or homework, but she gets you to think in a different way. i like her because she doesn't go by the book or standard teaching, which is more boring than her technique
She is a great math teacher who always gives us fun math problems, and never gives any detentions!!!
6-06 ms. finkelstein is the best math teacher ever. becasue of her math is my favorite class. sometimes she gives us extra hard problems then lets us work together to solve them so we end up havin fun
I had her for 6th grade and she is awesome, never yells or give out detentions. I'm from her 2006 class. She helped me understand hard concepts and explained them to me so I knew.
i love her... had three years with her. i learned more in sixth grade from her than in all of elementary school... and in seventh more than that. you can get sort of lost though.
6-06 She is an awesome teacher espacially how she only gives out hw on tuesday and friday. Also she never yells and you can re-do test as many time as necisary. Ver y good tecaher
hard to understand at times, emotional, but doesn't shout... work is hard sometimes but i got a 70% on a test once and it was an a++... teaches LOTS of cool stuff... good hs prep
She is fun and challenging. Makes kids want to do the best. I wish I had her when I was young.
You'll really appreciate Ms. F when you go to the high school; even if you didn't understand anything with her before, it all starts to make sense... Trust me, she's worth it!!
she's the best math teacher ever!!!!!!! She teaches you so much and you get to solve really fun problems!
Ms. Finkelstein is a unique teacher;she makes fun of her students, and doesn't help them.Instead, she asks the best students in class to help a person. It's apparent who she favors.
the class is fun in a challenging sort of way, and its AWESOME!
She is very nice, but sometimes when I ask her for help she gives me "helpful hints," instead of answering the question that I originally asked her. Otherwise, she is great.
She is the coolest teacher ever!! her class is chalenging but that't what makes it fun!!!
It can be hard to understand her sometimes, but that isn't her fault. Overall an awesome teacher!!!!!!!!!
6-She is the BEST!! I love math now! She is hard, but she is fun!!
6- the best teacher ever i really love math and the challstuff that we do
Ms. Finkelstein ROCKS! she is always really helpfull, and you can ask her any questions. If you don't understand something, you CAN stay (if you want) for lunch and she'll help you
Mrs. fink's awsome, i just wish i still had her. if any of you r just starting w/ her, don't worry, things will just go uphill. i miss u m. fink
The best math class ive ever had in my LIFE!!! thank you ms finklestein
She rules, and Gaussian integers rule too, need I say more? I'll miss you, Ms. Finkelstein!!!!!!!!!!!
The class is challenging, yet interesting. Excellent, interesting, and very funny.
4-8 Mrs.Finkelstein is an great teacher! Although sometimes she can move very fast,if you ask her to help you, she'll will do it clearly. Really understands kids
Awesome teacher!! She's fun in class, teaches us very interesting things. And she likes to relate to the students. eg. I play soccer with her every friday.
4-8 Ms. Finklestien is a great teacher! I wish I'd had her when I was in 6th grade. Admitidly, she's a little hard to understnd at first but I had a great time
Great teacer, has a good lesson plan. All you have to do is try and you can do everything she teaches. good soccer player. Class of 2008
If you earn her respect, you can gain more from her class than any other in Diamond Middle. If not, then brace yourself for the worst.
She's hard to follow, but if you keep up, you'll be amazed at how much the class covers. The one reason one could dislike her is if you're not making an effort
Mrs. Finkelstein is the COOLEST MATH TEACHER I've EVER HAD!
Undoubtedly the best teacher ive ever had EVER. She is so funny and cool. loved the extra challenges. GREAT TEACHER OVERALL
Easily the best teacher I've ever had! I need not say more!
Teach #theory next year!!!Maybe at the end of proofs give a 4or 5 minutes for people to try to take in the brilliance, and then analyze it.Thanks for great year
This class is a lot more fun than any of the other math classes I have had in previous years. one year. eight grade.
At first it was hard to keep up with what you were teaching, but after a while it got easier. It was fun trying to figure stuff out for ourselves. Thanks!
Easily the best math teacher I've ever had. Learned more this year than previous years combined. Extremely hard for people not interested in math.
she is a very hard teacher. If you can follow her style of teaching you can learn a lot. I personally got lost in the two years I was there though.
Best math teacher ever. Had her for three years-and this is the only time I have ever actually learned something in math. Keep doing Number Theroy. And soccer!
Terrific teaching style. Could be more supportive, but all in all, she is great
The curriculum was very fast paced but very rewarding and enjoyable once you made a breakthrough. It was a great experience for me and i think you should it for
Gets into the middle of helping, and then ditches you; is too faced paced; needs to teach basics first.
helps us look at problems from different prospectives;lets students learn special things; needs to focus on the basics first;needs to answer questions directly
brilliant person, but teaching style needs work. great for "sam dillavou"s of the world, but there aren't exactly that many.
Class is too fast paced. Teach what you test about.Try to gear your lessons towards those who aren't as inspired as others.
I loved your class, the proofs were awesome and I still can't get the triangle problem out of my mind. you made Number Theory as easy as it could be, still har
This year has been a lot harder than last year but by having harder number theory work its made regular school math work VERY easy. This year has been great!
I think that she is a great teacher, and that she has helped me out a lot in not only my math but in being organized and persistent. She is a lot of fun to have
get lost sometime in class. could only understand unles you took extra math lesson but offer to help anyone who asks, hated the proofs, some problems on hw hard
Her class is very challenging, but she is really enthusiastic about teaching and passes that onto her students! One of the greatest teachers you will ever meet
