Outline notes in class, jeopardy for bonus points, then test. Tests are cumulative, hard at first, but over time, most of questions are repeats, so should get easier. Be careful of pop quizzes, especially after long breaks. Fun teacher.
In teaching APUSH, he's good in feeding us the "textbook" knowledge as he reiterates them and puts them in his own words. His quizzes and tests are very easy and straight-forward. Most of your grade will be depend on mostly the hwk and the tests/weekly quizzes. However, don't depend on him for the essays. He's vague in teaching us how to write a good 7 or above essay and he pretty much wants us to
He's a pretty down to earth guy. If you pay attention in class, take notes, do your homework and read the book (like you're supposed to for every class) you'll pass the AP exam with flying colors. He's fun to talk to and play games with.
Mr. Taylor's lectures are always very detailed. I usually don't read the book and do well on his quizzes because I study his notes. He's great at making history understandable, using modern English to explain it. His sarcasm in history is hilarious. However, he isn't very helpful in explaining how to improve your essay writing.
He is a wonderful and magnificent teacher, one of my favorites at SC. I learned a lot in his class and lived upto his expectations
had him 4 ap world &us you take alot of notes then hw then quiz then essay and thats a week, his voice is monotone so its a BORING lecture, hes a cool ,fair guy tho and tries to make class interesting
Lectures are very tedious. He doesn't give you useful feedback on essays; I always got low scores (highest I got was 6), yet I got a 4 on the AP exam. That was because of studying on my own.
Great teacher! I think his class is a little bit too fast-paced though. I <3 bust-a-move during lunch. The answer to every pop quiz: Marbury vs. Madison.
Somehow he got me to pass the AP U.S. History test. I'm so bad at history....
You can totallly get an A in his class so long as you do the work. I hope I get him for A.P. U.S. next year. He is definately the best History teacher ever!Love the class man I do!
Mr.Taylor is the nicest guy and he explains everything clearly.
Mr. Taylor is a good teacher although sometimes he has problems saying words like railroad. Overall, he's a really cool guy and being in his class is great.
