While I did not have Hardin for bio, as I hear that he teaches that class really well, I'm rating based on my own experience. I have him for HP Chem, and on the first day, he literally tells us that the school only told him two days before the first day of school that he was going to teach chem. He is utterly unprepared and completely sucks at teaching chemistry. I hate his class. Literally everyone in my period has complained to the counselor, and most want to drop out in the 2nd semester. Ugh.
He is a very easy teacher. He gives you a lot of worksheets, and he seems to prepare you for test. He dosen't use the textbook that often, and he is he very helfful. A parent is acutaly smarter than him.
Lets see. Imagine Jesus riding a earth sized dinosaur with rockets for arms. Multiply that by 1 million. THAT'S MR HARDIN. He's the best teacher I have ever had and ever will be. You want this teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice teacher, gives alot of worksheets, but overall the class is fun
I was in Mr. Hardin's AP Chem class. His "lectures" were useless, due in no small part to the proliferation of both trivial and nontrivial errors within them. Mr. Hardin's biggest problem is that he often does not know the material very well and refuses to acknowledge that - a common flaw among high school educators. Even if there are multiple possible explanations for a certain phenomenon, he will only accept the one he knows and will not check to see if you truly are wrong. Nice guy, though.
VERY SARCASTIC! GIVES YOU CHANCES TO GET TEST CORRECTIONS BUT STILL MEAN WHEN HE GRADES IT. ALL HE DOES IS GIVE U WORKSHEETS. BUT HE GIVES SHE WHAT TO STUDY FOR ON THE TEST. THE SECOND SEMESTER FINAL, U GET TO USE UR BOOK.
mr hardin is like jesus. he is so helpful and ALL his lectures are clear. everyone had an easy time in his class learning because he is the best teacher in the world. he helped us when we needed it. ♥
His lectures are kind of dull, but he really knows the material he is teaching. If you go into his class afterschool, he always stays until 5-5:30 so he will help you during those times. He is pretty funny and always bashes the earth science kids.
He's a good teacher. It'd be easy to understand if you read your textbook and tight it to his lecture. Pay close attention to his lectures other wise you'd get lost. Don't be afraid to ask him any question that you have. He'd help you answer it for yourself. It's extremely helpful to learn that way because you'd figure out the answer by yourself with him leading the way.
He's a cool teacher. I struggled over my previous year with him in AP Chem but I still managed to get an A. He goes through the book very quickly and his tests are hard. TEST CORRECTIONS YAAAYY!!
HOWDY DOODY! haha mr hardin! he is super deduperty cool. just get him to talk on tangents and your class will be hekka fun. oh and also know how to make pickles. trust me. bored? make him keychains =D
as you can tell by his name (hardin), he is a hard teacher. however, he was not as bad as most of you said about him (took him back in '98). but don't know what he's like right now.
A decent teacher. Tries hard to teach the kids and knows his stuff. Can be unclear at times though... but reading through the book should clear things up.
knows his stuff very well, but it's kind of hard to understand him. when you ask 1 on 1 he explains it to you, and its somewhat easier to understand, but you have to kind of learn to teach yourself.
i am typically a good student but i find his class hard at times. he will never catch people who cheat because I don't think he even cares. sit nxt to a friend. easy overall - i have a 96% in HP chem!
dont even bother studying the notes or his lecture.None of them make sense. Might as well read the book of the chapter u studying. Everthing he say is confusing and he barely go over stuff on the test
he is nice and tries to help, but confuses everything, transfer out immediately if u get him as a chem teacher
He's okay. Try's to joke around but he's truly a nerd at heart. Good guy though.
he tries to teach chem, yet he doesn't even have a chem degree, however, he's nice & he knows how to commicate w/students, take AP chem w/him, just read the book then ure all good
he tries hard but confuses everything, read the book or go to sparknotes chem...super helpful
He can't teach, but he actually tries really hard to, and he really cares aboutthe students. He's a very nice person.
If you can understand him his classes are not too hard but don't rely on him for help unless you fully understand him.
Very hard, but hilarious. Constantly uses puns and eats cough drops. The classroom is really empty because half the people transfered out though.
HE's a bad teacher, but he tries. He's actually a very sensitive person.
Mr Hardin is a great teacher i didn't do great in the class but i learned so much. i am glad that i took Hp but i wish that i never dropped out
Hardin is IMO a bad teacher... i mean this guy makes fun of u when u ask a question... which in all reality is very hard because no one wants to be humiliated
he explains things in a very confusing way which u say in da end "wut did he just say?" n u feel lik u hella lost afterwards
he takes everything the book states in the clearest and most straight forward manner and muddles it to the point that it is unrecognizable.
Many people think his class is hard, but i dont think it should be as hard if he can actually teach. Children... read the book... its good for you
I don't think it's a good idea to say that your cheating in the class even though it happens.
EVERYONE SAYS HE IS CONFUSING WITH HIS NOTES, but he's being nice by giving you notes for the whole ENTIRE chapter, most teachers make you do it urself!
really tall, i think i'm as tall as him though...funny goggle song though
Okay, here's the basic truth about this guy. Chemistry is a hard subject and and you can't always blame the teacher for your bad grades. I mean really, one of the major problems is that nobody did the homework last year in hp chem since he didn't collect.
Tries to help, but not really good at it at all. Very bad at explaining material
HI... i just wanted say that it's not really the teacher's fault that... some students get bad grades... it has some relation.. but not really.. because people who wrote above me obviously hates him but have you guys even studied your best for it... no~!!
