I had him my junior year and I hated him. During the year, he started choosing favorites and people that he would bully in class. I happened to be one of the ones he would bully. He would pick on me and call me out in front of the class for no reason and treated me like I was dumb even though I got A's. He would also give us questions in class that had a specific answer to it that students don't know how to answer. When we wouldn't know the answer, he would make us write a page paper on it.
He is much too subjective when he asks questions. It would make his class so much more fair and appropriate if he used asked these questions in short answer so that I could explain my reasoning because I am a nearly all A student with college and honors classes and Im stuck with lower grades between C's and B+'s because of his terrible badly formed questions. I want to bring attention to his flawed teaching to school administrators or something because he won't fix it.
Mr.Kitson does not assign much homework, he teaches lessons that have nothing to do with the class, and my biggest problem with him is that he designs his tests to have answers that have 2-3 correct answers, and this is unfair because he wants you to know unimportant and random things. HE PLAYS FAVORITES. Some people get extra-credit for no reason, or just for raising their hand and giving a question, and others are picked on. I have had him for two years in a row and both years i see the faves.
Awesome teacher, and really easy to talk to. Although he may be a bit hard in english class, he is still an easygoing guy and one of the best teachers i have ever had.
Laid back, yet still makes people get their work done. Overall is a cool guy and was always nice to everyone.
Mr. Kitson is THE BEST English teacher I have ever had. (:
In his first year at PHS, Kitson is doing a wonderful job I believe! I have him in the Cellar, and he really works to make sure every student plays a part in the class. He is very laid back, but at the same time is making sure we get work done and filling our potential.
