I didn't really understand how incredible he was until I took the AP Exam last year. He knows his stuff and teaches it extremely well.
Tom is the BEST, both as a teacher and a person! Take his class as it is SO MUCH more than just a normal class, it is an experience in true learning for the sake of learning, not just learning because it's part of the standard curriculum.
With the help of a couple consultations, my grades are going up, a lot. The March practice AP, I did better than ever. This guy does know what he's doing -- disregard reviews that say otherwise.
I've learned to be more observant, pay attention to details, look for connections and links, and view things from multiple perspectives. The care he gives to lesson plans and assigments amazes me.l
There were times I wanted a consultation and he already had 2 or even 3 consultations scheduled that day, so while his class is hard, he'll help you a lot. Keep up, pay attention, and you do fine.
Tom is always available to help students if they ask. His presentations in class give you lots of hints about what will come on the tests. You need to do the work every day.
tom is awesome. you either love him or hate him. might take some time to get used to his sense of humor (which is very funny)
Brainy, witty, opinionated, mysterious; good intentions, goes off on tangents. Not sure if he prepped us well for the AP, but I did learn a lot in the course.
Tom is awesome. He has more knowledge than an encyclopedia.
Tom's knowledge seems to exceed that of most professional historians.
he goes off on these long rambles that have nothing to do w/history. one of those classes that's just hard, not even hard but fun.
He is the best history teacher I have ever had.I learn so much stuff from him.
