Perhaps the best teacher I've ever had--and I've had many amazing teachers. Dr. Lambert taught me what it means to be an educator, but, almost more important, he taught me United States History. He was peerless in his mastery of content, his rigor, and his effort. I've rarely if ever worked harder in any course, and I enjoyed (almost!) every minute (the terrified moments just before exams started being the exception). Dr. Lambert, on the off chance that you see this-- thank you.
All the US history I'll ever need to know I learned from Dr. Lambert. A truly incredible teacher as well as the cutest (the bow tie!) and sweetest man alive, Dr.Lambert will be sorely missed at Latin. His lectures are fast but well-organized and correspond EXACTLY to the outlines he gives you in the Bible which correspond EXACTLY to the essay questions, all of which you get Day 1 so there's no excuse. Memorizing all those outlines is rough but somehow you do retain a lot, even years later. Truly amazing.
It's been years since Latin School, I'm now a teacher myself, and I still think of Dr. Lambert as the DEFINITION of an excellent educator.
The man talks fast...very fast. But that's about the only negative part of the glass. Nice guy, very helpful, and you learn a lot from his class.
