altought she might look mean shes actuslly really nice. She made us laugh and we had fun
Sets the powerpoint to keep going on and then has to keep pressing back when it advances to next slide, completely screws up slow writers like me. Also really rude and insensitive to your feelings and honestly made me really upset on the FIFTH day of school. 100% recommend steering clear if you have depression or any form of mental illnesses that affects your emotions.
If you're in her class and you know Chinese, props to you. Easy 90+. But for those who don't, like myself, I had to suffer every time Tong created her own tests because you will literally know like 3 characters out of a paragraph of 100 characters. Her lessons were pretty dull, too. If you want to pass the class, study really hard, also try to participate a lot, and don't ever be late. Ever.
She's nice. I slept in her class. Wasn't that hard.
She needs to relax a bit, stop being stricter than the older chinese teachers at tech. Chill out, allow some fun
terrible teacher. cant do anything in class. even if you are getting 90 in her class(me) she'll hate you FOREVER once u r on her bad side. she'll yell at u for absolutely NO REASON!
Ms.Tong won't tolerate any slackers. Her class is easy if you do your homework, projects, and participate on class. Her homeworks and projects are super easy. Just study for the test from notes because she literally use test questions in do nows.
She plays favorites and expects way too much. Its nearly impossible to pass the class unless you know the language. Absolutely terrible teacher. She has mood swings and will bash on you if you do not know the lanaguage. Terrible Teacher.
She's alright but one thing, she goes beast on you. So its better to participate and shut the hell up in her class. She actually looks for effort in the certain subject. Cuz there was this kid in my chinese class who was mexican and he got lower scores than me but he gave it all and he got like a 90..... yea, just watch out for her mood swings. btw she plays favorites.
She yelled at my class like twice this school year; which is A LOT better than before. I like her
good teacher just too much mood swings, she better than the other Chinese teachers and she will pass you
I was her favorite student even though my Chinese was terrible. I got a 99 on both semesters because I spoke to her after class about life.
She's actually very nice and I actually get to learn in her class.
don't get on her bad side. once you for the one part of the year, you're on her bad side for the rest of the year.
She's a good teacher if you pay attention and don't fool around. If you do your work (at least your best), you'll get a high grade. She's really nice. I learned a great deal from her class.
seems like a pretty chill teaher, probaly gonna have her next year, seems to enforce rules very strict, and expect alot from you.
She's nice if u dont get her mad and you hav to pay attention. She's actually one of the teacher who can teach, just a little bit hard so not much ppl like her. But she's cool
She's nice as long as you do not get on her bad side. Her class is pretty easy and since our class is always hanging out, its also fun. =P As long as you pay attention and do not get on her bad side, you'll do fine.
She sort of gets mad when you correct her. She's pretty strict. I find her pretty disorganized, because her notes are like all over the place. I think she would love you, if you spoke Mandarin fluently. She's helpful. Not so bad as a teacher. Just strict. Her English needs help .
although she's pretty strict and picks on you alot if she thinks you're behind, it helps alot because she practically forces you to stay after school everyday just to tutor you. Best teacher ever :D
Work hard and respect her and she will overlook your less than stellar test grades. :)
just don't be stuck up or obnoxious. listen to her and you can actually learn.
She has favorites. But..be good dont talk listen.and do extremely well on her tests. She doesnt curve she isnt cumulative. But people say she's the reason they pass the regents. i hope i have her again
Shes extremely tough. Shes a much better teacher than Ogle, more intellegent too, but definetely alot stricter. She kind of weird cause she always repeats herself. But you'll pass the regents at least
got 95 every marking period for 3 years. Can have huge temper at times but good teacher. Helped me get 99 on the Chinese Regents.
has favorites. if you're good in chinese like me, she's actually okay. except when I talked back to her and she ended up lowering my grade. she doesnt understand when she's wrong. but overall, shes ok
She's ok, but watch out for those mood swings. She's nice sometimes and jokes around, other times she spends half the period lecturing you. Has high expectations.
i think.. she was okayy.. I did okayy in her class.. but watch out for her surprise quiz!
As long as you don't get on her bad side, she's pretty nice to you
She really is willing to help you if you find her in the office. She's harder than Kuo but she really does teach and stress Chinese grammar. Picks favorites.
Sophmore Chinese takin students beware. Tong is the only teacher left teaching chinese. She'll give you 40 words one day and test you on all of it the next.
Shes so boring... Tong < Kuo .. Although its funny when she "GOES OFF"...
She can't speak english her chinese is bad and her french is awfull there is got to be something wrong with her thinking she can teach a different language...
She's an okay teacher, but Kuo is better. Lectures us a lot. Wastes time discussing stuff. Takes too long on each lesson. Too many quizes.
Gives a quiz or test every other day which defeats the whole purpose. Gives too much homework and expects too much studying. Get on her good side...
Nice teacher and she's nice when u're nice and pay attention
oops, all of them are one too high. the one below i mean
Easy tests, but she doesn't teach! I learn all my Chinesse from the textbook.
too ez!!! Dun need 2 study... and still get 92.5+ on tests.
i feel bad for the foreign students...she tries but needs to work on it
